WE’RE HIRING: CASUAL FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF

Moreish Kitchen is growing, and we’re looking for brilliant front of house staff to join our events team.

We’re an established Central Otago catering and events business, recently expanding into our new home at Te Puna Mahara – Cromwell Memorial Events Centre.

You’ll work across events held at the venue, as well as off-site functions throughout Central Otago. From intimate dinners and weddings to corporate functions, community celebrations and large-scale events, no two shifts are ever quite the same.

We’re looking for people who are:

• Friendly, confident and professional
• Reliable and calm under pressure
• Comfortable working evenings and weekends
• Great with guests and attentive to detail
• Happy to help with event setup, service and pack-down
• Keen to work as part of a positive, energetic team

Previous hospitality experience is helpful, but a great attitude, reliability and a genuine love of looking after people are just as important.

This is a casual role with flexible hours based around our events calendar, with the potential for more regular work as Moreish Kitchen continues to grow.

WE’RE HIRING: PART-TIME SOUS CHEF

Moreish Kitchen is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to grow with us.

We’re an established Central Otago catering and events business, recently expanding into our new home at Te Puna Mahara – Cromwell Memorial Events Centre.

This is not a traditional restaurant role.

You’ll work from our kitchen at Te Puna Mahara and help deliver off-site events throughout Central Otago. One week could involve an intimate private dinner, the next a wedding, corporate event, community celebration or large-scale function.

No two events are the same.

We’re looking for an experienced chef who:

• Produces high-quality, beautifully presented food
• Is organised, dependable and calm under pressure
• Enjoys variety, creativity and event-based work
• Can support the Head Chef with preparation and service
• Is confident with food safety, stock control and kitchen organisation
• Can help lead casual kitchen staff during larger events
• Is flexible around evenings and weekends
• Wants to contribute ideas and grow with the business

The role will initially be part-time, with flexible hours around our events calendar and genuine scope for the position to increase as Moreish Kitchen grows.

This could suit an experienced Sous Chef looking for greater flexibility, or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.

We can’t wait to serve the Cromwell community at Te Puna Mahara - Cromwell Memorial Events Centre.

In the coming days, Moreish Kitchen will be catering our very first events since opening day for several local business and organisations and we’re incredibly excited to share what we’ve been working on.

This is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be catering conferences, celebrations, community events, corporate functions and private occasions, bringing the fresh, locally inspired food and friendly service that Moreish Kitchen has become known for across Central Otago.

It’s a privilege to be part of such an incredible new community facility, and we look forward to welcoming many of you to a Moreish Kitchen event soon.
