✨ A new beginning ✨
Remembering our history is important. The old grandstand was built in 1920 and has been the place to be on a race day for the last 106 years.
The devastating 2011 earthquake brought the closure of the grandstand. This, however, gave us the foundations for our brand-new premium events centre; The Pavilion.
Construction for The Pavilion began in December 2025. The idea behind The Pavilion came from the need for a new, corporate, high-end events centre, aimed at professional functions, conferences, work parties, and so much more.
Feel like this might be the spot for your next function? Construction finishes in time for NZ’s biggest race week of the year, NZ Cup Week — 7, 11 & 14 November.
