A magical celebration of Love -Jessica and David’s special day on 28th October, Labour Day 2024.

On a radiant Labour Day, Jessica and David united in a celebration of love and joy that was as vibrant as it was enchanting. With the backing of their devoted family, who lent their hands to preparations, the day unfolded in a kaleidoscope of colour, beauty and heartfelt moments.

The ceremony area was a masterpiece of elegance and charm. A textured white floral wall from Ivy Black Events stood resplendent against the lush green of the wedding tree and surrounding gardens. A deep red carpet added a touch of regal sophistication, while red and white florals lent the space a sense of romantic harmony. Under a flawless blue sky Mary Mason Celebrant officiated the nuptials as family and friends gathered to witness the union of this special couple.

The gifted Mandy Caldwell Photography immortalised the day’s magic capturing laughter, joy and poignant moments that spanned the ceremony, pergola and reception. Her lens told a tale of love and celebration, encapsulating every fleeting smile and shared glance.

Jessica dazzled everyone with not one but two exquisite outfits, each showcasing a unique style and thoughtfully honouring her Thai heritage. Her choices not only reflected her individuality but also added a layer of cultural richness to the celebration. Floral bouquets were provided by Ilam Florist.

The reception venue was a feast for the eyes, adorned in vibrant reds, gleaming golds and crisp white chair covers. Giant copper “MR & MRS” light up letters by Ivy Black Events graced the space, while oversized “LOVE” letters from Something Borrowed Something New Wedding Store illuminated the dance floor, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet provided by Spitroast.com Canterbury, a dining experience that was both indulgent and satisfying. Heartfelt speeches followed, brimming with emotion and gratitude, leading to the beautifully crafted cake Just Desserts - a moment of shared sweetness and love.

As evening descended, the couple took to the dance floor, gliding effortlessly to tunes that filled the air with energy and delight. Brad Staley lively music ensured that the dance floor was never empty, as family and friends joined in to celebrate the joyous occasion.

We have fond memories of hosting Jasmine's grandmother's 90th birthday celebration at Omarino Estate back in January 2021. Given the family's ties to the area and their local church, St James, it was only fitting that Jasmine and Vinny chose to get married at St James Church and celebrate their special day with an afternoon reception at Omarino Estate in October 2024.

Sixty of their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate their wedding. Our curated decor added a personal touch to the venue. Guests enjoyed lively tunes from acoustic guitarists Dan and Nic, Monster Music NZ and a bountiful grazing table and canapes provided by Moveable Feasts. The French champagne was a lovely nod to Vinny's heritage, and the Croquembouche (French tower dessert) on Omarino’s floral wagon was a stunning centrepiece. It was our pleasure to host Jasmine and Vinny's celebration. We wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure together.

We were thrilled to officially kick off the 2024/2025 season at Omarino Estate with two special celebrations on September 28th and 29th. On Saturday, we hosted a beautiful wedding for 100 guests, followed by a 65th birthday party for Jay on Sunday afternoon.

The birthday celebration was made extra special with family traveling from the USA to surprise Jay. The event featured our signature colors - rustic gold, black, and white - with stunning floral arrangements and a beautifully decorated cart, all provided by Omarino Estate.

The afternoon was filled with laughter and joy, featuring lawn games, pétanque, and a heartfelt photo montage showcasing special memories from throughout Jay's life. Delicious platters were generously arranged by Jay's family, courtesy of The social platter co. and the cherished moments were captured beautifully by .design.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Felicia, Jay, and their family for entrusting us with hosting this momentous occasion. We feel honoured to have been a part of creating lifelong memories for Jay and his loved ones.

These photos were taken prior to the installation of partial clear sides and heating which have since been added to ensure comfort and ambiance in the changing weather conditions.

Our newly extended rustic pergola area is defined by its distinctive features, including sturdy wooden poles, weathered beams, high and low rustic tables and seating.

Wine barrels, an antique harrow and wheels evoke a sense of nostalgia. This picturesque setting is perfect for pre-dinner or after ceremony mingling, where guests can indulge in delectable platters, canapes and or grazing tables, accompanied by refreshing beverages.

This also doubles as our wet weather ceremony option.

Throwback to a Magical Winter Wedding at Omarino Estate.

In July 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting Dianne and Chris's unforgettable winter wedding. Initially planned as an intimate gathering of 30 guests, their celebration blossomed into a joyous occasion with 70 loved ones.

From concept to completion, Omarino Estate's team collaborated closely with the couple to bring their enchanted winter vision to life. A soft pink palette, Dianne's favourite hue, set the tone for the elegant decor. Crisp white linen, chair covers, glass gold beaded charger plates, and delicate pink serviettes created a romantic ambiance from Something Borrowed Something New Wedding Store.

Elegant glass and silver vases, votive candle holders, and exquisite florals from Omarino Estate’s hired collection added a touch of sophistication. To make the occasion truly magical, fairy lights adorned the white Omarino arch, a surprise addition that dazzled the couple and their guests.

Dianne and Chris entrusted Omarino Estate with every detail including the setup and pack down ensuring a seamless and stress free experience for their special day.

As the ceremony was moved indoors due to the cooler temperatures, our outdoor garden visible through glass windows, provided a breathtaking backdrop for the exchange of vows. Dianne shimmered in her pink gown, while Chris looked dashing in his suit.

Heartfelt speeches, champagne toasts, and a delectable meal crafted by Country Feasts Catering followed. Divine decadent gateaus were the perfect finale to the afternoon. Stacy Downer Photographer captured the essence of the day, preserving precious memories for the couple.

It was an honour to host Dianne, Chris, and their loved ones on this special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, love, and adventure together.

Over the winter months, we've been hard at work enhancing our outdoor spaces. Two stunning 30m2 roofed macrocarpa timber extensions now complement our expansive pergola.

In addition to the roof extension, we've expanded the concrete areas and relocated our pétanque court, ensuring ample space for guests to mingle.

We extend our gratitude to L.A.B Building LTD for their exceptional expertise in completing the project on time and within budget, for our first wedding of the season.

More recently, Shade Plus installed custom PVC blinds on two sides of the pergola, offering the perfect solution for wind or wet weather conditions. This versatile space is ideal for intimate gatherings or larger events providing a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors. This is also the backup ceremony option.

We're thrilled to unveil these enhancements and look forward to sharing our revamped spaces with you!

Ross and Ellie, a lovely Dunedin couple, entrusted us with transforming the venue for their special day. Inspired by nature's beauty, the head table featured an exquisite arrangement of rustic pheasants, white peonies, hydrangeas, pinecones, candles, and antique blue roses, perfectly complementing the bridesmaids' color palette.

The table décor continued the natural theme, with wood rounds, white peonies, hydrangeas, antique blue roses, and pinecones.

Jade Whaley Celebrant: Timaru + South Canterbury officiated the intimate ceremony, attended by 85 loved ones and friends.

The rustic pergola provided a serene escape from the sun, while Omarino Estate's refreshing beverages and Country Feasts Catering delectable canapés kept guests delighted.

Aliena Seitz Photography captured the essence of the day, preserving cherished memories for Ross and Ellie.

The reception featured heartfelt speeches, followed by a magnificent buffet courtesy of Country Feasts. A standout moment came when Ellie's colleagues/friends took to the stage for a special performance. As the evening unfolded, Idol Frets performed the couple's first dance, and guests danced the night away to lively tunes.

It was our absolute pleasure to host Ross and Ellie's unforgettable wedding celebration at Omarino Estate. We wish the happy couple a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure together.
