Las Vegas, until next time! IMEX America 2026 has come to a close, and we’re taking home plenty of inspiration from this year’s show.

It was a pleasure sharing what makes Malta such a compelling destination for incentive travel and group programmes, while catching up with familiar faces and getting to know new industry partners.

We're pleased to announce that the Langley Park School for Girls from Beckenham, UK, is bringing its talented young singers and musicians to Malta next week.

Enjoy a varied programme featuring Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, The Pink Panther, Hallelujah, highlights from Les Misérables and more, performed by the school’s band, choir and string group, alongside a special flute solo, at Shoreline.

Having performed internationally in Brussels, Paris, Salzburg and the Isle of Wight, the students are excited to share their musical talents with Maltese audiences.

A national holiday that spans the centuries, weaving together religious and historical celebrations ⌛

On this day, the 8th of September, Malta celebrates Victory Day with a competitive regatta that takes place in the magnificent Grand Harbour between Valletta and the Three Cities.

But few know it actually commemorates not one, but three separate victories:

🏰 1565: The Great Siege of Malta
⚓ 1800: End of the French Blockade (4th September)
✈️ 1943: End of the WWII Siege

The day also marks an important date in the Catholic calendar - the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lady (the birth of the Virgin Mary) - which locals attributed their military victories to. Across the island, many towns hold vibrant feasts, combining their strong sense of faith and national identity.

The Grandmaster’s Palace in Valletta has just welcomed back its collection of 18th-century French Gobelins tapestries - eight pieces commissioned in 1708, woven with scenes of newly discovered lands, and the only complete set of its kind still in existence anywhere.

The tapestries were gifted to the Order of the Knights of St John by Grand Master Ramon Perellos y Roccaful as part of his ”gioia”, which is a traditional gift presented to the Order by every newly elected Grand Master.

After a two-year restoration in Belgium, they’re back in the very room built to hold them - a room that was also restored down to its marble floor and painted ceiling while they were away.

This is the kind of history you can still walk into. We’ll show you where. 🏛️

Past the southern fishing village of Marsaxlokk, a few minutes’ drive away from the harbour, Malta’s coast takes on a different look. A rocky headland, a handful of boats resting in the waters, and a sea that stays calm even when the wind picks up.

This is 'Xrobb l-Għaġin' [pronounced: 𝘴𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘣 𝘭𝘢-𝘫𝘦𝘦𝘯] - one of Malta’s stretches of rural wilderness, and home to a nature reserve and wildlife rehabilitation centre.

Whether enjoyed on land or at sea, a visit to Malta’s natural coastal areas can be a welcome addition to your itinerary.
