The Sean O'Casey Community Centre was opened in February 2009 by Bertie Ahern T.D. and local resident & neighbour Mary Downes.

The EAST WALL HALLOWEEN PARADE kicks off 5pm this Saturday 31st October from the Youth Club and arrives at our centre around 6.15pm followed by the HAUNTED HOUSE in our hall and terrifyingly good treats... all welcome!

There's tons of terrific spooky stuff happening for the EAST WALL HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL 2026 (see brochure below) including the parade on Saturday 31st October starting at the Youth Club and arriving at our centre at 6.15pm followed by THE HAUNTED HOUSE here in our main hall plus frightful festivities!!

Huge congratulations to our own Willie Dwyer - Chairman of the Sean O'Casey Community Centre - on winning the inaugural Dublin Port Local Community Hero Award at last night's ceremony in the Gibson Hotel to mark the 25th anniversary of their Scholarship Programme in honour of his many years of service, dedication and work towards community betterment.

We have just installed a brand new length-wall of acrylic safety mirrors in our MAIN HALL to enhance facilities for the resident groups that use it including our children's stage school, kids karate, ludo sports, aikido, pilates, playground club etc. .. plus opening it up for performance and dance rehearsals!
