OUR NEW RESIDENT SQUIRREL (a first for the centre) and mascot is now so settled in it is showing-off throughout each day in our central garden! It's actually a grey squirrel which the kids from our creche have named... "Freddie".

OUR NEW MASCOT: A fleeting glimpse of the new resident of our central garden... a beautiful (red!) squirrel. "Seanie" is the first ever spotted at the centre and has been making himself at home and seen of late.

NEW SONGWRITING WORKSHOP: Our receptionist Lisa is delighted to announce that she will be running her very first Songwriting Workshop at our centre.

After years of writing, releasing and studying music, this is something she has always wanted to do. She studied music for five years at BIMM, where she earned a Diploma in Professional Musicianship and a BA (Hons) in Commercial Modern Music.

One of her goals has always been to make music education accessible to everyone, especially in areas like Dublin’s North Inner City. That’s why this workshop is completely FREE for anyone who is unemployed or in receipt of social welfare, and just €5 for everyone else.

The workshop will explore different songwriting techniques, develop ideas together, and get hands-on experience recording with Logic Pro X.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced songwriter... you’re very welcome. It’s also a great opportunity to meet and network with other local musicians and creatives.

This workshop will help gauge interest in future music classes at the Sean O’Casey Community Centre and other locations across the North Inner City.

Lovely post by St. Francis Hospice thanking our team member Lisa and centre's recent fundraising efforts which raised €1130 for the hospice - seen here at cheque handover....

It was lovely to meet Lisa Dooner and her mam Lilian this week, when they called in to present us with €1,130 that Lisa raised for the hospice in memory of her uncle Tony Kenna ❤

Lisa organised an art sale & raffle in the Sean O’Casey Community Centre in East Wall and the support shown was truly wonderful.

We are so grateful to Lisa and to the community in East Wall for their generosity 👏

Special thanks to the Sean O’Casey Community Centre for hosting this fundraiser and for their continued support of the hospice.
