It’s International Day of Happiness and nothing makes me happier than being a celebrant. I literally love it… getting to know you, writing your ceremony, anxiously waiting for feedback, receiving your overwhelmingly positive and emotional response and then us smashing it out of the park together on your big day! Even just writing this caption is making me a little emo (although that could also be hormones). But here’s to feeling the feels, happy or otherwise, all day everyday! It’s what’s life is all about, innit? ❤️

Fun fact. About 10 years ago, I used to be TERRIFIED of public speaking. And look at me now…I can’t be within five metres of a microphone without either wanting to conduct a ceremony or belt out some karaoke!

So, if you’re getting married and the prospect of speaking in front of everyone makes your knees knock, you’re not alone!

But you don’t need to be “good at public speaking” to have a beautiful wedding.

I can help you prepare and write your vows, and offer coaching tips to help you feel as comfortable as possible on the day. You actually don’t need to speak at all, if you don’t want to. We could pre-record something or weave in another ritual that feels more natural.

Small things can make a big difference too. Print your vows in a large font. Practice what you’re going to say out loud beforehand. Slow down. Embrace the wobbly voice.

And you’ll have me as your cheerleader throughout the whole shebang!

My latest blog features public speaking tips and mantras to help try to put you at ease. If it makes you feel better, I still get a nervous! But trust me when I say it’s all worth it ❤️
