🌟 Welcome Charlotte to Footlight Performance Academy! 🌟

We are delighted to welcome Charlotte to our teaching team as our new LAMDA and Singing Teacher.

A graduate of the prestigious Stella Mann College of Performing Arts, Charlotte brings with her over a decade of experience teaching singing, drama, musical theatre and dance across leading performing arts schools. She has also directed and choreographed numerous full-scale musicals and showcase productions, helping young performers develop confidence, creativity and strong performance skills.

Alongside her teaching career, Charlotte has enjoyed a professional performing career, appearing in musical theatre productions across London and working internationally as a Walt Disney World Cast Member in Florida. Her experience both on stage and behind the scenes gives her a wealth of industry knowledge that she loves sharing with her students.

Charlotte is passionate about creating a supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to grow, develop their confidence and discover a love for performing. We are incredibly excited to have her join the Footlight family and know our students will gain so much from her experience, enthusiasm and dedication.

We are so excited to welcome this lovely pair to born2perform this afternoon.
Ania who trained at Footlight and then went off to train professionally at Laine Theatre Arts and then since then worked professionally with Carnival Cruises where she met her amazing fiance Addi.
Addi was born and raised in Antigua, trained in musical theatre in Leeds and has worked in the cruise line industry ever since graduating. He’s choreographed for Carnival Cruise Line and created many other pieces over the years!

Footlight are a recognised Butterfly Studio Wellbeing Partner 2026 – actively prioritising the mental and emotional wellbeing of dancers, teachers and studio leaders.

“You’ll start to see us talking more about wellbeing this year and we wanted to let you know why.
Our school has joined The Butterfly Studio Wellbeing Partnership with Kim Rogers from The Butterfly Mind, a year-long programme that helps dance schools put mental and emotional wellbeing at the heart of what they do.
What does that mean for your child?

·Teachers being trained in positive, supportive language and how to correct without shaming.
·Classes that focus on confidence, resilience and coping with pressure, not just perfect technique.
·A studio culture where dancers are encouraged to be kind to themselves and each other, especially when they’re struggling.
We still care deeply about high standards and beautiful dancing but we care just as much about how your child feels while they’re learning.
We’re really proud to be part of this partnership and to be investing in a school where your child’s wellbeing truly matters”.
