As the 2025 season comes to an end, we thank the 150+ volunteers who work tirelessly to make BOAT a success.
We thank our enthusiastic and dedicated audience for their continued support.

When Mamillius met Mamillius! 👑
Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming Alison Howard to Canford to watch the play.
Alison played Mamillius in 1973, the first time that The Winter’s Tale was performed by us (her parents were founding members of BOAT).
Alison told Robin that she remembers her costume clearly - a silver suit and a wig to cover her long blonde hair - and recalls that one scene involved her being pulled back and forth between the actors playing Leontes and Hermione in a tug of war.
She says she didn’t get a crown though, which Robin is delighted to have!
