Yesterday we met with one of our lovely couples to chat through their wedding plans for this year, and I also had the chance to meet their beautiful horses – I think I made a few new friends there! 🐴❤️

Once I was back in Wick, I had the pleasure of adding some fairy lights to an already fabulous setup in the Scout Hall for a surprise birthday party. ✨

We used our pipe and drape framework to attach the lights, which is such a handy option for adding extra décor without needing to fix anything to the venue itself.

I’m also very happy to see the sunshine today! ☀️ The first load of room drapes is already in the washing machine so we can make the most of getting everything dried outside on the washing line.

It’s shaping up to be a productive day! 🙌

Busy weekend for Team KG Events! 💕

Another absolutely beautiful wedding at the weighinn_thurso.

We transformed the room with roof swags and fairy lights, full room draping, and stunning backdrops illuminated with fairy lights. Our perfectly white spandex chair covers were finished with beautiful burgundy organza sashes, creating a truly elegant look.

And of course, our signature doorway swags made the entrance every bit as spectacular as the room itself! 😍

This setup was a real family effort from start to finish. Mum was on ironing duty as always, making sure every sash was perfectly pressed and ready to go. Wednesday night saw me up in Thurso with all my bairns and Jayden (the future son-in-law!), and every one of them was an amazing helpers.

I genuinely couldn’t do this without them all, and Michelle too for helping with the change over last night. A massive thank you to each and every one of you for your hard work, support, and dedication. ❤️

Teamwork really does make the dream work! ✨

Another busy week and weekend for us, finishing off with another stunning wedding ceremony at Forss House and meal and reception at The Weigh Inn ✨💍

At Forss House, we added our free-standing backdrop in the conservatory along with the bride and groom’s chair covers and sashes, as these could only be set up on the day.

At The Weigh Inn, we dressed the room with our roof swags and fairy lights, full room drapes and backdrops. The bride and groom popped on their own chair covers and we tied their beautiful pink sashes for them 🎀

We didn’t manage to get many photos as we were honoured to be invited to the meal and dance too, so it was a bit of a rush between setting up, makeup and getting ready ourselves 😅 but you can still see from the photos just how beautiful both venues looked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day — and thankfully the head wasn’t too sore this morning! 😂🥂

Next up, whilst myself and Abbie were busy at Forss House Hotel, Sophie, Selina and Jayden headed to the most stunning set up at the Groom’s family farm in Barrock.

The couple, along with their family and friends, worked so hard to create the most amazing wedding venue — honestly, it was absolutely stunning!!

Team KG Events got straight to work as soon as they arrived, setting up the garden ceremony area, switching lights on and making sure everything was ready to go.

Once we were finished at Forss, myself and Abbie headed over too, popping up the direction signs along the way.

We were all kept so busy from the off, but the bride was so organised which definitely made our jobs much easier!

We helped co-ordinate the wedding ceremony, with Jayden in charge of all the music — well done under so much pressure in such an important role! It was absolutely perfect 👌🏻

Whilst the ceremony was underway, Selina and Sophie were working hard behind the scenes getting the all-important post-ceremony drinks ready.

After the ceremony, it was time to get everything moved back to the marquee and shed — massive thanks to the groomsmen for lending a hand moving the chairs too, we really appreciated it!

There were then lots more jobs to make sure everything was ready for the meal — keeping glasses cleared, making sure everything stayed tidy, and getting ready to announce the new Mr & Mrs Tait in for cake cutting, speeches and dinner.

Then it was a quick turnaround after dinner to get everything ready for the dance.

A few of us stayed right until the very end, keeping an eye on the toilets, helping keep everything tidy, assisting with the clean-up and making sure everything was left spotless for the next day.

It was an absolute pleasure to be such a big part of such an amazing day!

Our On the Day Service is there to take the pressure off and let you enjoy your wedding day exactly as you should — whether you need us to do a little or a lot.

Huge shout out to my amazing team — I honestly couldn’t have done it without every single one of you! We’re all a little tired and achy today, but the pleasure we get from providing this service makes it all worthwhile. I’m incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team that allows us to offer this service.

Wow… what an amazingly busy weekend with both couples choosing our “On The Day” service for their weddings 😍

First up, myself and Abbie headed to forsshousehotel_ with a van packed full of benches (hire arranged through Halkirk Games), Chiavari chairs, chair covers, a ladder and honestly… the BEST space hoppers we’ve ever seen 🤩

Our first job was setting up the benches behind the hotel, laying out the bride’s blankets, getting the arch in place and adding the bride’s beautiful fabric.

The bride also had some fantastic garden games which we set up in the gorgeous gardens at Forss for guests to enjoy ☀️

We then headed inside to cover the dinner chairs with our white spandex covers. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to grab any photos of the finished dinner set-up, but we’re sure it looked absolutely stunning 😍

Heading home from the best trip away to Corfu.

Already back in work mode - as soon as the plane took off I was writing my lists for my 2 weddings this weekend!

Totally recharged and ready to be in full wedding swing!

I do have a few Facebook messages waiting to be replied too which I’ll get to this week. Couldn’t get onto them when we were flying (annoyingly as hoped I could have opened and replied and it send when I landed!)

Yesterday, while I was busy sunning myself in sunny Corfu (eventually… it’s been a bit wet 😂), these 3 absolutely smashed the set-up for last night’s Caithness Rugby Dinner Dance 🏉✨

I honestly have the best crew around me, always helping out in every way possible. Thank you so much girls ❤️

Set up in the stunning Mackays Hotel, Wick, the venue provided the perfect setting with their beautiful chair covers. Team KG Events wanted to add that extra touch for the club, so we supplied our gorgeous hunter green taffeta sashes — the perfect match for the team colours 💚

Hopefully there aren’t too many sore heads today and everyone had a fantastic night 🥂✨
