Thursday = Prep Day at ADJ Events!
We’ve got a packed weekend ahead — 3 events across 2 venues, including a 21st, a 30th, and a Wedding (with three separate music zones!).

No stress here — using 24 lighting fixtures, 9 speakers, 2 DJs, and a checklist that’s never let us down, everything will be ready well before the first guest arrives.

Our solid relationships with the venues mean we can triple-test setups in advance, ensuring every moment goes off without a hitch.

Let’s make it an unforgettable weekend!

Every Wedding should be unique to the happy couple. With so many choices available the possibilities are infinite.

I am hearing more often when I speak to couples the ceremony doesn't cause anxiety, the nerves are increasingly associated with the first dance. 3 minutes slow dancing in a well lit room with all your friends and family watching is not something you do very often.

One of the ways of making this a fun, relaxed part of the day is putting your unique stamp on it. Click the link below to hear an example of a first dance edit that I have been working on which moves from acoustic piano to high energy.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of providing Sound and Lighting for Jess & Greg's Wedding. When they first contacted me they already had a Ceilidh Band booked for the dance but were wanting to make sure that the music for the rest of the day was well catered for.

Their Venue was the stunning Stemster House split over 3 locations on the Grounds.

The Ceremony would take place on the Lawn, for this i used a battery powered JBL Eon compact with a battery life of over 8 hours and enough power to ensure all their guests could hear the music that we had selected to set the scene for their big day. Before the ceremony i spoke to the Celebrant, Photographer/Videographer and Jacqueline from Stemster House to ensure that we were all working in sync for the Brides Entrance. I attended the Rehearsal the night before to ensure the music was timed perfectly and would end on cue when Jess and her Dad were in position.

The second location the walled Garden is a lovely intimate area where guests can mingle while the photographs are being taken on the lawn.
For this I used my Mackie SRM 450 Powered from a Jackery Power Station and a wireless mic connected for announcements.
I helped the couple build a playlist that would keep their guests entertained while ensuring it was music that reflected their tastes.

Thirdly was the Marquee for Dinner, I setup 2 Mackie SRM 450's with Wireless Microphones for Speeches along with 16 uplighters for mood lighting.
While setting up the evening before the event I was aware a band would need to set up while I was playing, therefore I setup my work booth to maximise the setup space for the incoming band.

I worked with Jess and Greg to build a playlist for dinner that would build in tempo to bridge the gap between dinner and dance, assisted with the speeches and helped the Photographer host a table dash which is a fun was to ensure the happy couple get a photo with everyone of their wedding guests.

Once the band had completed setup we had a seamless handover into the first dance.
