DYNAMIC SOUNDS DISCO - The best mobile disco, and karaoke, for Caithness, Sutherland, and the north Highlands, has been in existence for nearly 40 years. Based in Thurso in the Highlands, and run by Graham Sinclair, I have accrued a large collection of music, equipment and, most importantly, knowledge of what a good disco is.

So let me tell you a story....

2022 I was DJing a wedding in Inverness, and for the first dance the Bride had asked for a cover from The Greatest Showman that she found during lockdown. No problem if found the version she wanted and bought it.

The night of the dance the Bride's mum comes up and says as a suprise she got in contact with yhe singer and he agreed to come up to Inverness and sing the song and do a wee set.

He turn up I get chatting with him, and find out he's a barber who sings aswell and is wanting to make it big. We joke that althought he is here he can't remember all the words for the song. So as a help I put out a screen for him to read the words off while I play his version of the song with me muting the vocals.

I remember thinking that this boy is good and hope he goes places, cos he deserves it.

Fast forward to this weekend, and I had the privledge of watching him twice on the main stage at Belladrum the second time when he stepped in at the last minute.

Cammy Barnes you are a fantastic artist and will only got further and further. I'm so happy for all you have achieved, and am privledged to have seen you grow along the way. Sir, you were my highlight of the whole weekend!

So let me tell you a story....

I was delighted to be asked to DJ and supply the photo booth for Lairg Gala Week family disco last night. The bairns (and several adults) took full advantage of it nearly 300 printouts being spat out by the printer.

Second stop was at the House of the Northern Gate. Daisy and Gavin had picked my all day service, so from music for the guests arriving for the ceremony, through to MC for the meal and playing the couples selection of tunes I was on hand.

It was also a change to get a fish supper for the meal, but by heck it was good.

Time to regroup after a busy Saturday.

First stop for the day was at the Northern Sands Hotel to set up the photo pod and printer.

Well over 300 photos taken that day, and everyone had someone smiling for the happy day (even the videographer and photographer 😃)
