With just a few weeks to go, we’re introducing four more designer-makers joining us at Handmade Christmas at Newark Park - National Trust , a beautiful National Trust property in the heart of the Cotswolds.

These are just four of around 40 carefully selected British designer-makers and artisan producers coming together for our first Handmade Christmas at Newark Park, in collaboration with the National Trust.

Explore the historic rooms, meet the makers, discover thoughtful Christmas gifts you won’t find everywhere, and enjoy artisan food and drink, live craft demonstrations and seasonal workshops. With the house dressed for Christmas and the Cotswolds as your backdrop, it’s a lovely excuse for a festive day out.

Get creative this Christmas and learn the basics of Modern Calligraphy by Gemma Gemma | The Calligraphy Teacher in this hands-on workshop. Practise using a brush pen, create beautiful lettering, festive words and Christmas doodles, then put your new skills into practice by making your own Christmas cards.

We’re counting down to the first Handmade Christmas at Newark Park - National Trust , and there are plenty of makers we can’t wait for you to discover.

Handmade Christmas is a new collaboration between Handmade in Britain and Newark Park, a National Trust property. Together, we’re bringing around 40 carefully selected British designer-makers and artisan producers to this special setting for a Christmas shopping experience with a difference.

Come and meet the makers, discover unique gifts with a story behind them, and enjoy artisan food and drink, live craft demonstrations and seasonal workshops. With the historic house dressed for Christmas, it’s a lovely opportunity to combine thoughtful Christmas shopping with a day out in the Cotswolds.

A Little More Colour on the King’s Road: The Art of Enamelling...

This November, the British Society of Enamellers British Society Of Enamellers returns to Handmade Chelsea with 10 of its members, bringing a distinctive collection of contemporary enamel work to Chelsea Old Town Hall.

From luminous surfaces and intricate patterns to bold, experimental forms, these makers show just how varied and unexpected enamelling can be. Each piece offers a fresh perspective on a specialist practice that continues to evolve through contemporary design.

Established in 1985, the British Society of Enamellers has spent four decades supporting enamellers and promoting excellence in the medium, bringing together emerging talent and established professionals.

The Beauty of Everyday Objects: The London Edit..

Clean lines, quiet colours, tactile surfaces and forms that feel effortlessly right. There’s a very particular kind of London style to these ceramics — understated, thoughtful and designed to become part of everyday life.

For the **19th edition of Handmade Chelsea**, we’re introducing five London-based female ceramicists whose work brings beauty and simplicity to the objects we use every day.

Hannah Jean | London-based ceramic artist – Botanical forms and delicate surfaces inspired by London’s natural world.

Kathy Coulter Ceramics – Quiet functional ceramics shaped by Japanese and British pottery traditions.

Laura Fyfe – Hand-thrown tableware with soft matt glazes and understated, everyday elegance.

Mada Alicja – Precise minimalist forms paired with earthy tones, texture and playful details.

Verka Ceramics – Tactile stoneware with expressive glazes, made beautifully for everyday living.

These are objects that ask to be used, touched and lived with. A favourite cup, a beautifully balanced bowl or a simple vessel can bring a small sense of pleasure to an ordinary moment — and over time, become part of the stories of our homes.

Annie Ruthven-Taggart - Annie Ruthven -Taggart, Founder of Artgems, creating individual, contemporary jewellery with over 30 years of experience inspired by natural forms and textures

Michele White – Acclaimed British jewellery artist, creating expressive precious-metal pieces from Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter.

Liz Tyler Designs – Award-winning jeweller renowned for sculptural pieces, exceptional gemstones and decades of technical expertise.

Amanda Chalmers Jewellery – Established jeweller known for distinctive pieces shaped by historic artefacts, texture and contrasting metals.

Years of making, refining and perfecting their techniques give these jewellers a depth you can see in every piece — from bold statement necklaces to sculptural rings and extraordinary gemstones.

We’re so excited to be working with Newark Park - National Trust , a National Trust property in the heart of the Cotswolds, to create a Christmas experience that feels a little different.

This November, the historic rooms of Newark Park will come alive with carefully selected British designer-makers, alongside artisan food and drink, live craft demonstrations and seasonal workshops.

As we count down to the weekend, we’re introducing more of the makers who will be joining us. Here are four more to discover:

Handmade Chelsea Goes Global !!

For its 19th edition, Handmade Chelsea is more international than ever. This November, we’re welcoming makers and creative organisations from across the world into our community — bringing traditional techniques, materials and cultural stories into contemporary craft and design.

From Korean basketry and Kashmiri embroidery to Japanese ceramics, Turkish glass and Indonesian textiles, these makers show how handmade traditions continue to evolve, travel and find new audiences.

We’re delighted to welcome these 5 international makers into the Handmade Chelsea community.

Apis Cerana, Seoul — Korean basketry, Lacquerware and traditional craft reinterpreted for contemporary collectors.

Route_N, Japan — Centuries-old Japanese ceramics, washi paper and silk traditions, beautifully brought together.

SOZNI Kashmir Crafts — Kashmiri embroidery and natural materials supporting generations of skilled makers.

Banu Güran Oyman, Istanbul — Contemporary glass beads shaped through traditional techniques and experimentation.

TULISAN , Jakarta — Limited-edition Indonesian textiles combining serigraphy, sustainability and contemporary wearable design.

Together, they bring a fascinating mix of heritage, skill and contemporary thinking — showing how traditional craft can remain relevant, distinctive and beautifully made today.

This November, Newark Park - National Trust will become the setting for Handmade Christmas, bringing around 40 carefully selected British designer-makers together throughout the historic rooms of this National Trust property.

This isn’t your usual Christmas fair. Rather than rows of market stalls, makers will be presented throughout the house, creating a more relaxed and considered setting to discover unique gifts, meet the people behind the work and find something special for Christmas.

Alongside the makers, enjoy live craft demonstrations, seasonal workshops, artisan food and drink, and Newark Park beautifully dressed for the festive season.
