About Us

Jane and Maria have forged a strong bond of creativity and a passion for exceeding their brides expectations that has kept Mirror Mirror at the forefront of British bridal for over 30 years.

Both trained at The London College of Fashion and after following careers in both commercial and high fashion, they met through family when Jane was dating Maria’s brother.

Through a mutual love for bespoke, unique, well-made clothes, they soon identified a passion for wedding gowns which they felt was an area where they could indulge themselves in the use of unique silks, laces, hand embroideries, beadwork and applique work. They still create the original patterns and designs for their capsule couture collection every season.

So, in 1989 Mirror Mirror Couture was founded in leafy Crouch End, North London. Within their first six months they were approached by both Liberty and Harrods to create bridal collections for the stores and were finalists in Brides Magazines ‘Best Newcomer’ awards for that year. For the next 13 years Maria and Jane slowly brought a team of seasoned professionals together including Maria’s mum (Mirror Mirror has always been a family affair) and made individual couture wedding gowns for many celebrities and VIPs.
