Part 2 of Ify and Vani’s Hindu / Igbo (Nigerian) wedding at Osmaston Park in Derby

Filled with laughter, joy, sun, traditional outfits, dancing, live band, glorious golden hour light and Igbo traditions with parents.

They packed so much into the day and to say it was filled with joy was an understatement.

I will never get tired of seeing two cultures coming together and celebrating.

What a vibrant wedding! Totally totally totally my vibe and what a fusion of cultures! A Hindu wedding with lots of Igbo (South East Nigeria) influences throughout the day (especially the dancing and family rituals)

BRIGHTON CIVIL CEREMONY

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of capturing Smit and Sums civil ceremony at Brighton Town Hall and walking around the lanes for some solo photos before their ceremony which was such a lovely change of timeline to work with.

A few weeks ago I was in the Woolwich area of London at the Tereza Joanne boat wedding venue which is literally at the end of London City Airport runway and round the corner from Noah and Georgie’s apartment.

Noah and Georgie are such a fun and loving couple and had an awesome array of fun and friendly guests which made the day very enjoyable. We had 30 degree heat, paper airplane confetti, super sunny sun and a beautiful golden hour and sunset. Couldn’t have asked for more for a perfect wedding day.

Martin and Lena had an Assyrian Wedding in London at their Assyrian Christian Church followed by a beautiful reception at Grove House on the Roehampton University, London estate

I love how my job takes me around the country and I get to meet all kinds of people from all different areas of the globe and walks life. This selection is all completely natural of the couple and their guests, picking moments, waiting for joy and real expressions and fantastic environments and light.

It was wonderful to see elements of Assyrian culture mixed with English culture.

Georgie and Noah live literally round the corner from their wedding venue in the heart of London where I’ll be with them and their guests in July and they wanted to utilise London for their engagement shoot with me.

18 epic silhouettes and sunset photos bursting with colour that you just have to have

Silhouettes are a beautifully creative way to capture a couple and to give them another range of Couples photos. I always look for a combination of putting a couple in a highlight/lit area and if we can frame around it all the better! The sunset version adds colour especially if it’s one of those evenings where it just bursts with oranges!

Timing is key, early mornings or late evenings provide the soft light needed, whilst a clean open environment helps create that perfect contrast. The right setting makes all the difference. Where I would love my couples to always be close together, it’s always best to be apart a little for space and to define.
