Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is a genetic condition affecting 2% of people worldwide. It causes the deterioration of a gene that breaks down harmful byproducts to the cells and makes the protein clump in the motor neurons, causing its victims to lose all motor function. One new drug has been found to slow or even halt the process of deterioration: Tofersen. It is currently available to only a few of the many who could benefit from receiving it. Therefore, the MNDA alongside MND sufferer Seckin McGuirk and a bespoke sculpture of her in her wheelchair went to Parliament where they advocated for the NHS to provide the treatment more readily.

We were grateful to be involved in this event and provide a life-size replica of Seckin in ice to help spread awareness for this debilitating disease. Every drop of the melting ice symbolizes the loss of time for Seckin and so many others.
