Here at Ultra Running Ltd, we believe that an excellent event isn't just defined by the route, but also the marshals, the checkpoints and the weather. Okay. So maybe we can't guarantee ideal weather, however with all of our routes having been carefully researched and planned. No matter what the weather, participants will take in the best views the local area has to offer, whilst running to our friendly and welcoming checkpoints. The End-to-End Footrace of Ireland

Malin Head to Mizen Head — 14 days, one incredible journey.

This is no ordinary multi-day race.

Each of the fourteen days is an individual ultra race in its own right, while together they form an epic journey through the landscapes, coastlines, mountains, villages and roads of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

Fourteen days of running. Fourteen individual ultras. One incredible challenge.

And with the ever-changing Irish weather, competitors will need to be prepared for whatever the Atlantic throws at them.

Your Race Kit

URL will provide every competitor with several high-visibility technical T-shirts, along with a high-visibility jacket.

And these aren't standard event freebies.

Each item will be personalised with your name, the year and the MTC MizMal® race name, creating a unique collection of kit to remember your journey by.

Our head sponsors, Mount to Coast, will also provide free footwear for every competitor.

Be Prepared

Ireland's west coast can deliver every type of weather, sometimes within the same day.

Competitors must therefore bring suitable additional clothing and equipment to cope with all weather conditions and ensure they are properly prepared for the challenge.

This Is an Ultra – And There Are Rules

MTC MizMal® is an exceptionally demanding event, and competitor safety is our priority.

If URL considers that a competitor is not fit to continue, we reserve the right to remove them from the race.

There is also a minimum average speed requirement of 4 mph.

If you fall below the required 4 mph, you will be withdrawn from the race.

No debate.

Just 20 Places

To keep this event personal, manageable and true to the spirit of an epic ultra adventure, competitor numbers are strictly limited to just 20 runners.

45 Miles Around Bristol – With a 30-Mile Option

The Winter Green Man Ultra returns on 6th March 2027, taking runners on a challenging and scenic 45-mile journey circumnavigating the city of Bristol.

For those who fancy the challenge but aren’t quite ready to tackle the full 45 miles, there’s also a 30-mile option, affectionately known as the Green Boy.

Whether you choose the full Green Man or take on the Green Boy, expect a proper winter ultra, a fantastic route, and the unique atmosphere that comes with running around one of the UK's most vibrant cities.

The Mount to Coast Joust 24hr races

What an incredible weekend at the Joust! Whether you were chasing records, pushing for 100 miles, competing as part of a team, or simply taking on your first marathon or ultra, we hope you're proud of what you achieved.

There were some truly outstanding performances across the weekend.

Solo J24

Congratulations to Alex Marshall, who took the overall win after completing an incredible 22 laps, 123.2 miles, and, in the process, set a new Joust course record!

Emilia Kolodziejska took 2nd with an impressive 19 laps ? 106.4 miles.

The 100-mile target was also conquered by Paul Beadle and David Atkinson, both reaching 100.8 miles and earning their well-deserved Buckle status.

Mixed Pairs - Jonathan Godfrey and Stephanie Innes ran an amazing 25 laps ? 140 miles, setting a new Mixed Pairs record.

The J12 race produced some fantastic performances too. Matthew Ma put in an astonishing performance, covering 50.4 miles in just 6 hours 55 minutes.

Our J12 first lady was Sadie Kirk, who also completed 50.4 miles, finishing in an excellent 9 hours 42 minutes.

The Teams of 3-5 category was fiercely contested, but Lad Alarm came out on top,
completing 29 laps, 162.4 miles between them.

Teams of 6-8 - the Malvern Buzzards showed their running prowess, with their team covering an impressive 35 laps, 196 miles.

But, of course, the Joust isn't only about the winners and record-breakers.

It was fantastic to see so many runners setting themselves a personal challenge, with some taking on their first marathon or ultra-distance event. Every single one of you should be proud of what you achieved.

Whether you completed one lap or pushed through hour after hour, you became part of the Joust story, and we hope you enjoyed every mile.
