Came into my Café this morning and Michael Myers was already here! No idea how he got in. Did anyone see him last night? Any local businesses got CCTV?

He’s had a coffee and we’re all too scared to tell him we need the table back. 🎃

Tuesday 3rd November, I’m heading along to Mick Flaherty’s Through a Soldier’s Eyes presentation at Helsby Community Sports Club – Cannot wait for this one! Heard some brilliant things about it and it should be a fascinating evening. 🇬🇧

If you’re wondering what that absolute monstrosity on the right is, that’s the spinach, açaí, strawberry and blueberry antioxidant smoothie! It resembles something Shrek coughed into a pint glass after a heavy weekend, but it tastes bloody gorgeous.

Imagine if we had other days like this: Monday could be National Wear Your Dad’s Dressing Gown to Tesco Day, Tuesday could be International Eat Cheese Over the Sink in Your Pants Day, Wednesday could be Take a Pork Pie Into the Bath Day, Thursday could be National Lie About Having a Gluten Intolerance Then Eat 3 Doughnuts Day, and Friday could be Sit Naked on a Garden Chair While Eating a Scotch Egg Day.

By December, Britain would be completely ungovernable!

A customer made this head of me and, with their permission, I’m sharing it because I really think they’ve put something evil in the clay.

It sits on the counter all day looking as though it knows everyone’s PIN number, who’s having an affair and which one of you has lied about being “just popping in for a coffee”.

The worst bit is, every time I look at it, I swear it’s facing somewhere else. I reckon once the door’s locked it has a little wander round, checks the takings, goes through my phone and judges the state of the kitchen.

If you’re in tomorrow and you see it, keep your voice down, please.

That head knows things. 😂

A little update from me at Sandstone Café ☕️

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m going back to our normal opening hours for the foreseeable future, so we’ll be closed Monday and Tuesday, then open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There is an upside to this. I get 2 days to recharge, remember what my own house looks like, and possibly eat something without standing over a café counter at the same time. 😂

Then I’ll be back on Wednesday, fully caffeinated and ready to see half of Frodsham again.

I hope to see lots of you from Wednesday onwards, and as always, thank you for supporting me and Sandstone Café.

A special mention to all my loyal and lovely customers: I never take your custom for granted. Thank you so much. ❤️
