Please allow your wedding to include your personalities, be authentic to you as a couple and reflect your passions.
One question I ask couples is - how do you want your wedding to feel? Not look and I often I get a blank look - your wedding day should be about feelings about how you, your family and friends feel on the day - not how grand it looks or how much stuff you have or how expensive it was. Please please do your day your way! If your friend or cousin had this & that and the other you don’t have to have it if it isn’t you!
Honestly you and your guests will remember how your day felt and not what it looked like or if you had all the bells and whistles. Make your day about you and having fun and celebrating your love .
I’m sensing too much overwhelm from couples who with the economy cannot have all the stuff! Honestly you don’t need it - add your personalities your loves into your day and you will all have the best day.
I’m sensing the joy of planning weddings has become more stressful and less joyful, which makes me very sad.
Times are tough at the moment but that shouldn’t make you feel your wedding is less than because you aren’t having something- take it back to basics and make your day reflect you as a couple and be joyful.
