honestly today was so wild + fun.

i love maddi and emily. i love this photo. i love how the girls look so happy. i love how the store looks so lush with flowers. and honestly…. i love that we almost peed our pants from laughing so hard on MULTIPLE occasions today. do i wish i was in this picture? absolutely. do i wish maddi’s water cup was in the picture? 1000000%.

oh hi. it’s been a while! remember when i used to make personal posts + videos of myself talking daily?! now i constantly find myself struggling with how to use this platform. often finding myself scrolling on this silly little device. that i am very much addicted to! all while the world is burning, ai is taking over, democracy is dwindling + small businesses are closing. OKAY woah woah. i’m starting off strong with the negativity.

moving on. i was showering + reflecting + thought its time to share with this community! its been a hot sec! is this the quality content i strive to post on a daily basis? that promotes new products and weddings? no! it’s the opposite of that!

where to begin? a few updates! shop related + some personal🙃

shop: we got rockedd may til now. our basement is a nightmare of endless dirty rentals. now, we are slow. wedding season has essentially come to an end except for a few smaller things! (we are still booking fyi!) our slowest wedding season ever. feels stressful but also honestly…. okay. retail is keeping us busy (knock on wood that doesn’t change!! FR!) our team is evolving into our new roles!! maddi as manager + lead designer. emily has taken over gift buying almost entirely + keeps our website in tip top shape! {maybe a good time to mention how much new stuff we have in ;) } i am forever grateful for them + what we are doing with pictus💕 also we just did most of our holiday buying wtf its july!! our ac is fixed!! we love snacks!!

personal life: ive gone through some big transitions in life! maddi + emily taking on more responsibility has allowed me to teach more yoga classes + evolve as a teacher. take a teeny tiny step back from the shop. the shop is still my life. but not my 80 hr a week life. phew! i spent 5 years being burnt the f**k out. it feels nice to reset. this year, i gave up my dream apartment + life. moving into my own place! learning to get more comfortable with myself. anxiety has been a beast but im doing my best. i’m feeling good.

{ also just a funny story during this set up that i found quite hilarious. i looked maddi in the eye and very seriously told HER we were in a rush and had x amount of time to finish something. she got right to the task!! but i proceeded to look at .ca instagram to see what baked goods we could pick up during our break between ceremony + reception. and then during the flip (after we went to alice marie) i was reading the menus at the wedding and i said to maddi oh yum pistachio tiramisu. and she looked ME right in the eyes and very seriously said are you still looking at those desserts?? hahaha oh the joys of having a boss with extreme adhd 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 }
