"The city is proposing a 9.9 per cent property tax hike for businesses in 2026, followed by a 7.3 per cent increase in 2027...But local business owners aren’t taking it lightly."

Dozens of business owners came to city hall, showing their opposition to the proposed property tax increase in 2026. NBSA executive director Keith Moen recommended staffing cuts to avoid the hike.
