I’ve been engaged with settlers that are part of Facebook group called Old Saskatchewan. There are over 85,000 members. In short, many of them are aware of our great legendary leader Poundmaker. Many are still in awe of who he was and his legacy as a peacemaker. Many are very sad and sorry for what their settler colonial ancestors did to him and our ancestors in 1885. Many are also aware and very apologetic for what has transpired since. Say hi to a settler next time you see them at a coffee shop. Get to know them too. It’s an amazing journey.
