There is an incredible amount of history in our Mayfair neighborhood! Join for a stroll this Sunday, and learn more about some of the old buildings on 33rd street, including our home base, PickNic’s Catering- pictured top left- from many decades ago!

Ready to travel back in time on 33rd Street? These four buildings are staples of our neighbourhood, but they all have a secret past. One was a grocer, another an ice cream shop, one was once a drugstore, and one was a bakery that's still in business today. Can you guess which is which, and what shops they are today??

Join us this Sunday, Sept 21st for the Saskatoon Heritage Society’s FREE 33rd Street Walking Tour with renowned local historian Terry Hoknes. and discover the fascinating stories behind the buildings on 33rd Street. Meet in the FreshCo parking lot by Avenue C North at 2 PM tomorrow and see 33rd Street like you've never seen it before!

The 33rd Street Fair is TODAY folks!! Shout-out to our friends from the Saskatoon Juggling Club who'll be there roaming around doing some stilt walking, juggling, and just generally helping to make our fair site a fun and happy place to be!

Good boy alert! 🐕

Meet Ollie. He's a Great Pyrenees - but if we're honest, he's more of "a great peer of treats".
Ollie wears a creamy white coat of fluffy white fur - The vestiges of his noble breed (and a bit of the lawn from when he rolls in the dirt). Our cream-colored boy can be found at our back entrance trading handshakes for chicken and scritches. Ollie has been known to open, close, and lock doors on his own. Rumour has it he is suspect in a number of B&E cases, including the case of the missing tenderloin, the pound of butter case, and the case of the mysterious vanishing $50 bill. Despite the allegations, He's our number one good boy, earning our monthly "Goodest Boy" award for 25 consecutive months! Now that's a good boy 🐶

Ollie's momma is our very own Garde-Manger, Cass! She has testified against Ollie in his recent larceny cases but has issued a statement that "[She loves] him very, very much."

Introducing our one-of-a-kind baking extraordinaire: Our Formidable Pastry Chef Jess 🎂👩🏻‍🍳
Hailing from the seaside town of Newquay, Cornwall, Jess is our sugar and spice from lands far away. Flour reveres her. Eggs fear her. Cocoa and cinnamon want to be her. Meanwhile, Jess keeps her eyes on the prize, turning our piles of scrumptious desserts without breaking a sweat. To her, it's as easy as pie. 🥧 Her secret weapon snack? A simple and dangerously delicious UK classic: The Crisp Sandwich.

Crisp Sandwich
- Salted Butter
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 handful British crisps (Walkers are best)

Spread thin layer of butter onto one side of each bread slice.
Place crisps on buttered side of bread, then place other slice on top, buttered side down
Press sandwich firmly and slice into two
Serve and enjoy!
