As some of you might have heard, there is a Walk for Peace movement where a group of Buddhist monks walked from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness for peace and mindfulness.

​Coming from Thailand, Buddhism is deeply entwined in my life—it is the very heart of our cultural tapestry. Although I couldn’t physically join the walk, today I had the wonderful opportunity to cook and offer food to the monks here at the Mahamevnawa Monastery in Saskatoon. Through this offering, we support the entire Sangha (monk) community around the world in spirit.

​If you are interested in practicing breathing meditation and mindfulness, you are welcome to join the monastery’s Sunday activities from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM.

Come experience a meditation session and find a moment of peace and presence for yourself.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith, belief, or religion.
