Galbraith Florist

Galbraith Florist Fresh flowers, artistic designs and professional experience. Your go-to destination for exquisite flowers and thoughtful arrangements.

We specialize in enchanting wedding flowers, event florals, special life celebrations. Galbraith Florist has been offering the Saint John, New Brunswick area superior floral arrangements and assortments since 1961. Because we are a small, local shop, when you choose us, you can always expect to be treated more like a family member and less like "just another customer." Our deep-rooted passion for

flowers, along with our dedication to service, makes us the ideal choice for any occasion! Back in the 1960′s our flower shop was known as “Gordon’s Flowers”. In the 70′s the name was changed to “Galbraith Florist”, and between the 70′s and 1999 it was owned by two other people and moved several times. In September 2018, I (Oksana Posatska) purchased the shop. The shop is still learning and growing everyday, so that our customers can continue to receive the best possible service and pricing! As a reflection of our dedicated excellence, Galbraith Florist has been recognized for multiple awards and honors…

The one wedding decision I still think about... 17 years later.

Not because I regret the venue.
Not because I regret the dress.
Not because I regret the catering, the DJ, the live band, or the bar.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what we paid for any of those things.
But I can tell you exactly what I wish we had done.
More flowers.

When I got married 17 years ago, I was already a florist. My mother-in-law was a florist too. We had every connection, every flower, every reason to create a breathtaking ceremony installation.

And somehow... we didn’t.

Looking back through our wedding photos now, my only regret is that we weren’t standing beneath a beautiful floral statement, surrounded by lush June blooms. Flowers have a way of turning a moment into a memory you can feel, even years later.

This modern blue and white ceremony installation from last weekend is exactly why I believe your ceremony deserves just as much attention as your reception. It’s where your story begins. It’s where you exchange your vows. It’s the backdrop that will live in your photographs forever.

I know wedding budgets add up quickly. Every decision feels like another line on a spreadsheet.
But if there’s one piece of advice I can give after designing weddings for years, and after being a bride myself - it’s this:
I’ve never had a couple tell me, “I wish we’d had fewer flowers.”

But I have quietly wished we’d had more.

If you’re on the fence about a ceremony installation, this is your sign. Your future self will thank you every time you open your wedding album. 🤍💙

Some designs ask for flowers. Others ask for obsession.

These chandeliers were one of those designs.

Morgan dreamed of chandeliers that looked less like light fixtures and more like suspended gardens. Every vine, every branch and every bloom was placed with that vision in mind.

Simple in theory.
Anything but simple in ex*****on.

What we thought would take a few hours turned into almost all night and all-day labour of climbing ladders, wiring endless lengths of greenery, adjusting every drape, stepping back, and doing it all over again until every angle felt intentional.

We were exhausted.

We questioned the timeline more than once.

But we never questioned the vision.

Then came the final stem.
One last piece of greenery.
One last bloom.
We stepped off the ladders, looked up, and every single one of us had goosebumps.
Because somehow, it was even more beautiful than we had imagined.

Moments like these are why we do what we do. The countless unseen hours disappear the second a vision comes to life.

Morgan & Ryley, thank you for trusting us with such an unforgettable statement piece. What a privilege it was to bring your dream to life at the Algonquin Resort.

✨ Save this for your wedding inspiration if you’re dreaming of suspended floral installations that make your guests look up.

Today, we say goodbye to the man who started it all, Vincent Galbraith.

The founder of Galbraith Florists began this journey with little knowledge of flowers, but with vision, determination, and a deep commitment to his community.

Two years ago, we had the privilege of meeting him in person. We listened to his stories, learned about his journey, and saw the pride he carried for everything he had built. It was an experience we will always treasure.

Today, we honour his life and the legacy he leaves behind.

It is a privilege to carry his name forward and continue the work he started so many years ago. Every bouquet we create, every customer we serve, and every milestone we celebrate is part of the story he began.

Thank you for your vision, your courage, and the foundation you built. Your legacy will continue to bloom for generations to come.

Rest in peace. 🕊️

We are so incredibly grateful to every couple who trusts us with such an important part of their wedding day. Your confidence in our team means everything.

This year, we’ve been making exciting changes behind the scenes to elevate the experience we offer our wedding couples. From the moment you book with us, our goal is to make your floral journey feel inspiring, organized, and enjoyable while creating flowers that truly reflect your vision.
We’re always learning, always improving, and always looking for ways to serve our couples better, because you deserve an experience that’s just as beautiful as the flowers themselves.

Italian countryside vibes at The Cidery at 51 Acres 🇮🇹✨

A ceremony designed to feel like a garden in Tuscany, graph vineyards surrounding the venue, oversized floral arrangements tucked into earthy statement urns, towering olive trees setting the tone, and blooms woven throughout to bring the entire vision together.

And the sweetest little detail? A four-legged ring bearer who stole the show. 🐾🤍

A celebration full of warmth, texture, and unforgettable moments.
