A sincere thank you to the team at Shoalhaven Heads Rural Fire Brigade for their quick response to a small fire in one of our buildings earlier this week.

Thanks to their swift action, there were no injuries and minimal damage.
We're incredibly grateful for the dedication and professionalism of our local volunteers — always ready when it matters most.

Built by convicts in 1822 and completed the following year, the Great Hall is one of the oldest surviving buildings on the South Coast. The original bricks were handmade on site, and the timber floorboards were milled from trees grown on the slopes of Mount Coolangatta.

Apart from one small section in the roof, every inch is original. Steeped in history and beautifully restored, this building is a living reminder of craftsmanship that has stood the test of time.

Once filled with fire and iron, the Blacksmiths Block is one of the earliest surviving structures on the estate. Built by convicts in the 1800s, this was where the estate's tools were made and repaired — keeping the Coolangatta Village running. The original forge has since been removed, but the walls, roofline, and structure remain largely intact.
History never slept so well. The old blacksmith’s shop now sleeps 4 — or 8, if you count the mezzanines.
Rustic charm, vineyard views, and heritage that still holds strong.
