It’s wonderful when I can pick from our Peace Patch and put together such a beautiful wreath for a meaningful commemoration😊

Vietnam Veterans Day Service at the Chidlow Village Green Sunday 16th August at 11am. It’s 60 years since the Battle of Long Tan.

Outnumbered roughly 10-to-1, 108 men of Delta Company, 6th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (plus three New Zealand artillery observers), withstood heavy assaults from a force of over 2,000 Viet Cong and North Vietnamese troops during a torrential monsoon downpour.

I’ve just completed requests for next year.
The seedlings I planted this year are doing well but I would like some more rain so they can really get settled. 🌱💦

The Yellow Buttercups, Hibbertia hypericoides, are really starting to put on a show here at our Peace Patch. A stunning sea of yellow. It’s such a beautiful sight on this glorious winter’s morning! Go for a walk somewhere in the bush and soak up it’s beauty. Our Forest Red-Tailed Black-Cockatoos munching away on some Blackbutt (Yarri) nuts just outside our back door. They are super messy eaters but I’m so glad they call our Peace Patch home☺️ West Australian Native Flowers Western Australian Wildflowers Australian Indigenous Plant Identification

I’ve 54 of these beauties to plant, thanks to the Shire of Mundaring landcare program. 🌱
We just need a little rain to soften up that coffee rock, so bring it on 🌧️
I know what this florist is doing for the long weekend, even if it’s raining😆
