🚨 We’re Hiring: Event Manager (Melbourne) 🚨

Do you thrive on bringing people together, creating memorable experiences and delivering events that make a real impact?

At Fetching Events & Communications, we’re looking for an experienced or emerging Event Manager to join our growing team and help deliver a diverse portfolio of conferences, forums, awards programs and large-scale community events.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who loves the variety of agency life and can confidently balance strategy, client management and event delivery. You’ll lead projects from concept to completion, work closely with clients and stakeholders, manage suppliers and volunteers and be onsite bringing events to life.

We’re looking for someone with:
✔️ 5+ years’ experience in the events industry (agency experience a bonus)
✔️ Strong project and account management skills
✔️ Experience managing multiple events simultaneously
✔️ A passion for community, not-for-profit and association events
✔️ The ability to lead, collaborate and get stuck into every aspect of event delivery

We’re thrilled to announce that our Events Assistant, Emily Jones will be showcasing her sharp radar for emerging trends, fresh ideas and out-of-the-box thinking at next week representing Fetching Events and Communications.

Not only is she attending as a Rocket in the Accelerate Program, but she’ll also feature as a panellist on an emerging leaders panel and join an exciting live discussion with industry CEOs from Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre as part of the AIPC Summit at AIME.

The International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) is the global industry association for professional convention and exhibition centre managers. AIPC supports excellence in the business events industry through research, education and leadership development.

It may be early in the year but we are busy at work planning and preparing for Sleep At The ’G!

This will be our fourth year helping design, develop, plan and implement the program for this amazing fundraising event that embraces the power of community.

Every night 7,628 young people in Victoria have no place to call home.

By experiencing one night sleeping at the iconic MCG, you, along with your friends, families and colleagues, will raise essential funds to support vulnerable youth who are experiencing homelessness, to become independent adults that thrive.

In 2025, nearly 900 compassionate Victorians came together for MCM Sleep At The ’G in support of thousands of young Victorians who are without a safe place to call home.

The fundraising and one-night sleepover helped raise essential funds to go towards creating safe, supporting homes with healing oriented care and support.
