It’s been a fantastic few days in Sydney for site visits and also to catch up with Fetching Events & Communications Sydney clients - both in the CBD and Campbelltown.

We are absolutely blessed with an amazing Fetching family and so it was no surprise that conversation, connection and collaboration flowed at each of our end of year lunches. These were lunches full of stories, laughs, heart and soul and shared visions to make the world a better place 🙏.

We can’t wait for 2025 and the many projects we get to work on - all making significant impact and difference in the community.

🌟 What a year it’s been! 🌟

In fact 2024 has been our biggest year to date and we have loved every minute of planning and bringing to life experiences that influenced and inspired.

We have travelled the length of Australia working with amazing clients and fabulous audiences. From senior leadership Summits at Parliament House to sleep-outs at iconic locations to croissant and Can Can dancing at Festivals - and everything in between - this year has had it all.

While it’s not quite over, and we still have a couple of weeks left, we wanted to share with you a little summary of our year.

Cheers to the last 12 months and here’s to the next 12 months!

All our Christmases came at once today when we headed to and The Cheese School for the Fetching Events & Communications Christmas party.

We are lucky enough to work with Gaëtan Chapon and the team at Long Paddock during the so it was a no brainer to visit as part of our end of year celebration.

Stirring the curds and whey, learning how to, and working together to make a 9kg wheel, visiting the aging rooms, indulging in the fromagerie then having lunch, what more could we ask for!

As winner of the Delicious Best Fromage in Australia award, Long Paddock Cheese and The Cheese School are two young award winning regional and artisan businesses to be celebrated and admired! You can see why they are always a favourite at the Festival.

If you live in Victoria, make sure to visit them at in Castlemaine.

⭐ We’re looking for a fabulous Events Assistant to join our team! ⭐

Due to our growing number of upcoming projects and events, we are looking for a new member of the Fetching family to join us on a part time basis of 3 days a week (up until February) and then full time at 5 days a week (February – end of July). This is a Melbourne based, fixed term contract with the possibility of extending.

In this role, you will:
🎉 Work across a range of projects, simultaneously
💡 Provide support and assistance to the Events Managers on operational tasks
✉ Manage ticketing and rsvp processes
📚 Prepare detailed and informative pre event briefs
📄 Prepare pre event resources
💰 Work productively with external suppliers and partners

This is the perfect role for an event management graduate or someone with 2 - 5 years events experience.

If you love working in a fast paced office across a range of exciting and fulfilling projects simultaneously, this role is for you!

It has been an action packed second half of the year for the Fetching team as we have been busily working behind the scenes to bring more events and campaigns to life.

We are ending the year doing what we love - delivering 3 events and exhibiting at another event, across four states in four weeks!

It is hard to put into words what four days at involves. It’s not just a meeting, a trade show or an expo, it really is a gathering of event and experience design minds from all over the world. It’s not called ‘Where the world meets in Asia Pacific’ for nothing!

Thrilled to once again attend, Fetching Events & Communications soaked up every minute of this event - because there’s no other like it.

🍓 Lost track of the amazing food and (non alcoholic) drink we consumed
🌍 Caught up with event colleagues and collaborators from all over Australia and the world
🤝 Reunited with event colleagues we have worked with over the last 23 years
🦶Walked over 100,000 steps
🚤 Travelled like tourists on 2 boats

Are you looking for an MC for your next event? Our Chief Engagement Officer, Georgie Stayches, is now taking bookings for 2024 and 2025.

A veteran of major international and national events as well as community and NGO events, Georgie Stayches brings a wealth of knowledge to the role of MC.

With a background in performing arts before specialising in communications and events, Georgie has spent the last 27 years working behind the scenes as well as front of house at events ranging from the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games, 2002 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games to Polio Day, MCM’s Sleep At The ‘G, Vinnies CEO Sleepout, Royal Flying Doctors Flick Us A Flynn, ESTA Awards and countless association conferences.

In 2009 Georgie founded Fetching Events & Communications, an event partner agency with a focus on working with the community, for the community.

The Fetching team are committed to creating experiences that influence and inspire and align with their values of Success, Excellence, Compassion and Spirit.

It is this commitment and these values that Georgie holds close to her heart in her MCing and presenting roles, a major part of her roles as Chief Engagement Officer.

She is fascinated by what makes an audience tick and how to engage authentically.

We’re back! 🎉

After a little rest and rejuvenation over the Christmas and New Year break, we are thrilled to be back in the office from today, ready for another year ahead.

It’s been a while since we have been down here on the grid (what can we say, we got a little caught up running our fingers events), but it’s great to be back here as well.

As we look to the new year ahead, we have been reflecting on the wild and wonderful ride that 2023 was.

Last year saw us:

😆 Laugh every day and make the most of every moment
❤️ Love every day that we get to work in this industry and with so many great organisations

2024 is already shaping up to be an even more fabulous year and we can’t wait! We already have 10 events booked in for the year with many more to come.

We absolutely love what we do and love who we get to work with ❤️.
