It’s our birthday and we are turning 17!

To all our wonderful clients, suppliers, venues, staff and volunteers, friends of the Fetching family, and everyone we’ve had the joy of working with and meeting along the way: a huge thank you.

Every event, every partnership and every conversation has helped shape who we are, and we’re so grateful for the trust, creativity and good humour you’ve brought to it all. You’ve backed our ideas, rolled up your sleeves beside us and made even the busiest days a pleasure.

We couldn’t do any of this without you, and we can’t wait to keep celebrating and working with the community, for the community.

Here’s to you, and to many more experiences that influence and inspire ahead.

Last week the Fetching Events & Communications team had the honour of helping deliver the Supply Chain Leaders’ Summit II for Industry Skills Australia at Parliament House in Sydney.

This was the second Summit for us, having helped deliver the first Summit at Parliament House in Canberra in 2024, and it was a joy to work with the team again!

An event like this doesn’t just happen. The smoother the event, the more work behind the scenes in the lead up - and this was a wonderful team effort.

A big thank you to Alexander Versace, Kimberley Ohayon and all the Industry Skills Australia team for entrusting us with this event. You truly created a room full of collaboration, conversation and collegial atmosphere.

This is one of three Jobs Skills Council we have worked with to help bring their events to life, and we cherish the opportunity to work on such important conversations.

We’re thrilled to welcome the ACRE - Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship to the Fetching family!

This time last week, Our Chief Experience Officer Georgie Stayches and Event Manager, Porzia Garcia headed to Beechworth to meet the ACRE team at their offices at the Old Beechworth Gaol and kick off planning for a very exciting event in 2027.

It was a full and incredibly fulfilling day visiting venues, deep diving into strategy as we look to create a truly meaningful and creative event, full of authentic and rich connections.

We love what we do and who we get to work with, and days like this just reinforce it.

Three events, in three weeks, across three states, plus the delivery of a Workshop…and we can’t stop smiling (and dancing)!

The last three weeks has seen our team out and about bringing to life more events that influence and inspire - from Canberra to Wollongong to Torquay.

Three different events. Three different audiences. Three different strategies. Events aren’t a one size fits all, which is why ensuring they are tailored to each audience is critical.

It’s not just about the event itself, it’s about the impact and legacy it creates with its audience.

We are proud to announce our Chief Experience Officer, Georgie Stayches, will be a judge for the 2026 Disability Confidence Awards, run by the Australian Disability Network 🎉

This year she’ll be reviewing nominations and looking for the organisations and individuals genuinely shifting how disability inclusion gets done.

Nominations have been extended and are now closing on Friday, 21 August.

Do you thrive on bringing people together, creating memorable experiences and delivering events that make a real impact?

At Fetching Events & Communications, we’re looking for an experienced or emerging Event Manager to join our growing team and help deliver a diverse portfolio of conferences, forums, awards programs and large-scale community events.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who loves the variety of agency life and can confidently balance strategy, client management and event delivery. You’ll lead projects from concept to completion, work closely with clients and stakeholders, manage suppliers and volunteers and be onsite bringing events to life.

We’re looking for someone with:
✔️ 5+ years’ experience in the events industry (agency experience a bonus)
✔️ Strong project and account management skills
✔️ Experience managing multiple events simultaneously
✔️ A passion for community, not-for-profit and association events
✔️ The ability to lead, collaborate and get stuck into every aspect of event delivery
