I have been involved in the wedding and events industry for nearly 10 years, planning, styling and managing many events through my business Events By Kate. I am so grateful for the past decade as it has lead me to this next chapter of my journey. I did not appreciate what ‘ living your purpose’ meant until I completed my celebrant licence and began officiating weddings and farewell se

My last wedding today before I enjoy a couple of months off.

The next little while will be filled with couple meetings, time with family and friends, and all the things that help me recharge and replenish before an incredible 2026/27 season ~ one that's already shaping up to be one of my best yet.

A huge thank you to all of my past, present, and future couples. You truly make me the happiest person, allowing me to do what I love every single week.

Kate & Ben, I can't think of a more perfect way to finish what has been such a beautiful season. Let's do this!

This week looked a little different to what I thought it would.

Yesterday morning, I said goodbye to my uncle and godfather ~ a man I adored ~ and had the privilege of leading his farewell service. A truly wonderful man, and a celebration I’ll carry with me forever.

Then I headed straight into the city to marry Maisy & Jake. Holding space for two very different kinds of love stories within a matter of hours.

And honestly… it felt like the most beautiful reminder of what really matters.

Love, connection, family, and how precious it all is.

Now it’s time for an adventure with my sister!

We will be cruising around Mexico & the Caribbean with my eldest cherub Chloe ~ where I’ll be in the theatre every night watching her perform. Honestly, it makes me teary just thinking about it.

I’ll still be answering emails and booking couples in while I’m away, just a little slower than usual replying… and possibly sipping on a marg while doing it.

I absolutely adored my time with Di & Rod.

Every time we met or spoke, I found myself loving them a little more.

Two incredibly kind-hearted people, whose resilience, positivity and zest for life ~ despite all they’ve walked through ~ is nothing short of inspiring.

Even their wedding week brought unexpected curveballs, leading to a Plan B ceremony in their Airbnb lounge… and yet, what unfolded was something truly beautiful.

Surrounded by their children, grandchildren and closest friends, it became an intimate, emotional moment and one I will always hold close.

Di & Rod, thank you for showing me the true meaning of grace.
