Hands down, the event Iā€™m most proud of.

The San Pellegrino Young Chef Awards & Gala Dinner was one of those projects where everything came together - the concept, the room, the food, the production and a pretty incredible team behind it.

It was ambitious, detailed and a huge amount of workā€¦ and it paid off. The event went on to win multiple awards, which was a lovely indicator that weā€™d created something special.

Still one I look back on and think, yep - we nailed that one. šŸ¤Œ It's good to take a moment and be proud of your past work when you run your own business!

For 28 Greengate, Zesty handled the full production and on-site management - coordinating suppliers, branding, catering, florals, hire, speeches, guest movements, the photo moment over at the construction site, and coverage across the morning.

One of our astute team members - Grace - ran the day, with around 50 purchasers, potential buyers, consultants and builders joining Riverlee to mark the start of construction.

Quite a few moving parts behind a very relaxed morning, and another great one with .

Back at New Epping with for the 28 Greengate launch ā˜•ļø

This one was all about making the morning feel polished, on-brand and easy for guests from the second they arrived - coffee from a fully wrapped moss green cart, matching branded cups, fresh florals, beautiful hire pieces and breakfast from a local New Epping favourite.

The kind of corporate event where all the little touchpoints are working together, without compromising that feeling of community and locality to the launch.
Important to bring these moments into the brand experience.

There are a lot of very good event producers out there, so choosing who you want to work with can feel like a bit of a minefield.

Ultimately, I think it comes down to finding someone whose way of working fits yours.

Someone who understands what youā€™re trying to create, can bring fresh and original ideas you perhaps hadnā€™t thought of yet, and can actually get the whole thing over the line (whilst making it all feel easy).

So rather than me writing an essay about why that might be Zestyā€¦

A little glimpse at one of the larger-scale events weā€™ve been working on recently.

Around 300 guests means there are a LOT of moving parts from my end - venue, suppliers, AV, food, guest flow, timing, styling, speaker movements, staffingā€¦ The list goes on.

If the experience is easy and seamless as a guest - I consider that a job well done!

Yesterday I talked a little about what made our Ciao activation work.

Today, I thought Iā€™d show you how my brain looks at everyone elseā€™s šŸ˜‚

I LOVE walking an exhibition floor and seeing what catches my attention.

Sometimes itā€™s really clever branding. Sometimes itā€™s scale. Sometimes itā€™s an unusual material, a great use of colour or just a stand that understands exactly where it wants your eye to go.

You definitely develop a bit of an ā€œevent producer eyeā€ after doing this long enough.

Thereā€™s a reason we thought so carefully about how this activation would look from a distance.

In a shopping centre, youā€™ve got a few seconds to make someone curious enough to slow down.

So for Ciao, the whole thing was designed around that first little spark of intrigue

As the event designer, I want someone walking past to think:

'Waitā€¦ whatā€™s that?'

Thatā€™s the first win.

Then youā€™ve get the chance to introduce them to the brand!

A few favourite angles from Ciao at Chadstone šŸ‹

This activation was all about making the product impossible to miss without making the whole thing feel too busy.

Strong blocks of colour, clean lines, lots of satisfying repetition, beautiful product display and enough playful detail to spark a bit of curiosity as people walked past.

Simple, bright, very Ciao!
