Being part of a secret proposal is something pretty special, and we loved helping Vipul plan this moment for Sehaj.

Knowing that Vipul and Sehaj are planning to settle in Bridgetown makes this one even sweeter. We love that their story includes a little piece of our local community, and one of Bridgetown’s special heritage properties.

From the moment Vipul contacted us to enquire about a proposal at the farm, it was clear we would be dealing with a very special couple.

Vipul had a clear vision for how he wanted the moment to look, from the blanket and candles to the flowers and the exact spot where he would ask the question. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, making it all the more special to help bring his vision to life.

There is something beautiful about witnessing the beginning of a new chapter in a couple’s story, and we feel so privileged that Peninsula House could be part of theirs.

It’s hard to imagine now, but the lake at Peninsula House began as a bare paddock.

Over time, it was shaped into a natural wetland — with shallow areas for young fish and marron, deeper water for larger fish, an island for birds and reeds around the edges.

Now it has become its own little ecosystem, attracting swans, swamp hens, frogs, fish, marron and all sorts of other wildlife.

And somewhere along the way, it became the heart of the property.

It’s a place to wander, to take photographs, to gather around for an event — or simply to sit for a while and watch what’s happening on the water.

What started as an empty paddock has become a living part of Peninsula House.
