Join us to celebrate all things Dungeons and Dragons, at a weekend of dice rolling and role playing

Blackwood D&D Winterfest is an annual two-day Dungeons & Dragons game event in Bridgetown, Western Australia. This year it will be held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of July 2022. Held over a weekend, Winterfest is an opportunity for players and dungeon masters to get together and play the world's premiere fantasy role-playing game. Beginners are encouraged to join veteran adventurers in pittin

g their wits and skills to delve dungeons, fight fearsome monsters and secure the treasure. Winterfest is a great opportunity for new players to try out roleplaying games for the first time in a safe, inclusive environment - and to meet people who share the same interests. Experienced players can experience new DMs and playstyles, and adventure with unfamiliar companions. Each day has morning and afternoon play sessions, with one-day or weekend tickets available."

❄Help Spread the Word! ❄

We had such a blast at Balingup Medieval Carnival! It was amazing to chat with D&D and TTRPG fans from all over WA, but we were amazed just how many folks had never heard of us! 😱

So if you're new here, or were sent this post by a friend, let us introduce ourselves: We’re Blackwood D&D Winterfest! A completely volunteer-run, non-profit organisation on a mission to share our love of D&D (and other TTRPGs) with everyone.

We run a whole bunch of events and programs throughout the year, including:

⚔ Winterfest – Annual Weekend-Long D&D Event
Our annual event brings folks from all over WA to Bridgetown for a weekend of D&D and TTRPGs with oneshots, campaigns, vendors, and so much more!

⚔ WinterQuest – Local Monthly Oneshots Event
Our monthly oneshot events bring together local players and DMs for an evening of adventure and connection!

⚔ YouthQuest – Local Youth D&D Program
Our youth program gives young people the opportunity to learn and play D&D in one of our school holiday oneshots or by joining one of our mini campaigns run during the term! These programs are run in both Bridgetown and Manjimup with the support of BYA.

That’s right, Blackwood D&D Winterfest is going to the Medieval Carnivale! And we’ll be running short games perfect for new and experienced players throughout the weekend.

You can find us at C11-12 just across from the Tipplers Yard all weekend! Plus, you can grab yourself some fresh Winterfest merch, including our Winterfest 2026 limited edition designs. Get in quick as stock is limited! And don’t forget to become a Winterfest Member to secure your perks for Winterfest 2027. Or sign up for our Intro Games and Mini Adventures that are running throughout the weekend!

Our Intro Games are beginner friendly and perfect for anyone who wants to learn the basics of D&D. Our Mini Adventures are great for folks who already love D&D and want to add a little adventure to their Carnivale visit. All games will run for 30 to 45 minutes, plus we’ll have everything you need to play!

🩵 We Just Want to Say: THANK YOU! 🩵

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers, committee members and DMs, who gave their time, skills and effort to put on an amazing event this year. We literally couldn’t do this without your kindness and generosity!

Thank you to our vendors Beyond, Candlelight Leather, Direfox Dice, Ash the Dragonsmith, Every Trick Books, Nicey Diceys and World of Whimsy for coming to the event and donating amazing prizes for the door raffles and competitions.

Thank you to Petit Bleu, Maranup Ford Kitchen and Nik’s Street Food for keeping our volunteers and adventurers well fed and caffeinated throughout the weekend!

And to all of the adventurers who attended the event this year, thank you for your ongoing support. Without you, we wouldn’t bring Winterfest back year after year.
