And just like that… we did it! 🌍💙
The Skål International World Congress 2026 has officially come to an end in Nelson Mandela Bay, and this is the team behind so much of what happened along the way.
From registrations and exhibitions to venues, suppliers, branding, entertainment, delegate experiences and a programme of events across our beautiful city… it has been quite a journey.
Today, delegates from around 40 countries are still exploring South Africa or beginning their journeys home, taking with them their own memories of Nelson Mandela Bay and the warmth of South African hospitality.
And that, for us, is what makes this one special.
The messages, posts and feedback coming through about the delegate experience have been incredibly rewarding.
Behind every moment was a team solving problems, answering phones, checking lists, moving things, changing plans, welcoming people, laughing occasionally and simply making it happen.
To the Overall Events & Communication team, I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. You showed up, you adapted, you worked ridiculously hard, and you cared about the experience we were creating.
To the Skål LOC, our venues, suppliers, partners, entertainers, volunteers, transport, tourism students and everyone who played a part: thank you.
Events of this scale are never the work of one company or one person. They happen because many people decide to pull in the same direction.
And to our international visitors: thank you for allowing us to welcome you to our corner of South Africa. 🇿🇦
The congress may be finished, but somewhere around the world there are now hundreds of people telling stories about their time in Nelson Mandela Bay.
That might just be the best review an event organiser can receive.
