Another fantastic “meeting of the minds” as we continue the process of selecting the Grand Marshal for the 2027 Tucson Rodeo Parade!

The Grand Marshal Selection Committee focuses on individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to our community. We’re excited about the possibilities and look forward to announcing our 2027 Grand Marshal in early January!

Last night, our outreach team had the honor of attending the **Celebration of S-cul Son 251**, Tucson’s 251st birthday! 🎉🌵

The evening brought together organizations celebrating Southern Arizona’s rich history, along with live music 🎶, musket demonstrations 🔫, and plenty of opportunities to connect with others who share a passion for preserving our community’s heritage.

One of the highlights was making a great connection with the **Buffalo Soldiers** regarding the restoration of one of our historic wagons, which was used by Buffalo Soldiers at **Camp Little in Nogales**. 🤠🐎 We’re excited about the possibilities of preserving this important piece of Arizona history!

Representing the **Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee** were Charly Toohey, Don Moore, Herb Wagner, Kip Overstreet, Stan Martin and his wife, Loretta. 🤠❤️

A wonderful evening celebrating Tucson’s history, heritage and the people working to keep those stories alive!

Our Grand Marshal Selection Team recently held its first meeting as we begin the exciting journey of selecting the 2027 Tucson Rodeo Parade Grand Marshal.
