Circa Nov 2024 - What song is this man dancing karaoke to? I'll tell you in a moment.

Mr Dj Services was on hand for this elaborate, 40th Birthday party buyout at the Peppermint Club in West Hollywood.

As we walk in to set up, a professional lighting crew was dangling crossbeams and decor for this big night. The client went all out for her 40th birthday. She did a buyout of the location and on a Saturday night in November; Ka-ching $$$!!!!

The party initially started with a Female mix Dj providing that nightclub sound and transitions along with a pair with disco dancers. The 2 dancers wore a gold disco ball on their head as they wore gold clothing as well. As this was happening the dj staff and I were in the 'Green Room'. We did feel like rock stars for a moment.

Once the Dj's 2 hour music set was completed, it took only 5 minutes to roll our equipment into our location on the stage.

Approximately 150 guests attended; and they got smashed! That played right into our hands as they were coming in 'HOT' when we started the first karaoke singer.

Mr Dj Services was not Mr Dj Services in this picture. What do I mean? Well, the domain I purchased in 2008 was called 'The Pro Dj Team' as in www.theprodjteam.com

Now try to read that again. It sounds like 'The Prod J Team'..riiight?

Also, I did a 50/50 partnership with another dj on this domain. He owned all the equipment and delivered and set up while I paid for advertising and booked the clients. It didn't work our well. That Dj was either late for every event or would forget stuff causing the music to start late anyways.

Can you see the stressed and focused look on my face? Yeah, in the words of the famous Cheech & Chong, "things are tough all over"!

This is why in 2013 I am still using a combination of CDs and dj software. The success of 'The Pro Dj Team' was only 50% successful; literaly.

From 2008-2013, 4 wasted years with a nice guy but terrible Dj partner, I had to call it quits with him. After this event, I happened to search on Godaddy.com and BAMM!!! The domain I always wanted was available; www.mrdjservices.com

However, I had to finish out the remainder of the 2013 contracts with the before mentioned, tardy Dj.

I had to go back working for other djs. No cash flow of deposits and smaller overall pay. 2014 sucked.....booooo.

Now we have Mr Dj Services. My djs are required to show up 2 hours early to events or face termination.

Circa Dec 2024 - What song is that girl sleepwalking to? I'll tell you in a moment.

So, it's T-minus 20 minutes to the start of a wrap party. What's a wrap? Typically when a film or tv show ends it's season or filming, they hug and say goodbye. That's it? Yes, because the tv show or film is out of budget.

In this case, the TV Show is Criminal Minds Season 18. So, plenty of success and plenty of room on the budget to go all out and rent/buyout the entire evening at 'Dave & Buster's' near the LAX.

Mr Dj Services was on hand for the complete Dj, photo booth, 360, party dance music and karaoke singing.

Did we see any of the main actors from the TV show? We saw lots of the crew and a handful of the co-stars.

Mostly everybody showed up 1 hour late but from then on it was constant libations, appetizer consumption and free play on any of the games in the room. Guests had plenty to do and enjoy.

Mr Dj Services is on the preferred vendor list with Dave & Buster's at 2 locations.

The song that girl is sleepwalking to is unknown. I just wanted to tease her as she is one of our Dance MC's. I guess we took the picture 'mid-blink'.

Circa June 2017 - What song are they dancing to? I'll tell you in a moment.

It's the City of Industry where the best in blue collar & hard working Americans reside. The Client-parents needed a party for the daughter but more focused on the adults. Do you see any kids in the picture? No, not really. That says everything about this party.

Mr Dj Services was on hand for dj services only. Back then in 2017 we had not implemented the photo booth yet. The first 90 minutes of the event was a Mariachi which took a break for 10 minutes 3 separate times.

The most important part of our Dj Services is the experience of music genres vs. multi vendors. It's NOT a good idea to play music too loud during their break. In fact it's better to play the music super low including NOT playing any Spanish music. This prevents an unconscious 'upstaging' of the Mariachi performance.

You see the Dj will get his chance to shine after the dinner formalities. There is no need to blast music for cocktail and dinner hour. Besides, the Mariachi is a acoustic ensemble of musicians.

I just saw a post on Facebook where the author titled the post "things to know before hiring a Club Dj for your wedding". Apparently she attended a Club Dj blasting dance music for cocktail and dinner hour. The guy had no experience for the setting; format.

Mr Dj Services was on hand for a triple threat theme park - ish event in a rented venue 'playtime' for kids.

This party featured a bungee ride which would spring the kids or adults from the ground upwards! What made this party extra special is the mom literally forced all 3 of us Mr Dj' staff members to take a tequila shot; every time I turned down but eventually she won that battle. NOTE: I did so in the last 30 minutes, I figured...what the heck and I don't want to ruin a potential tip, eh..?

In the main picture you can see our lead dance instructor leading the group dance with a microphone. Look closer and you can see some very tall kids; just kidding, yes, those are the adult parents. They definitely did shots,..SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!

The dj service provided on this 10th birthday was our 'Dj 4 kids Party w/karaoke & a Selfie Station'. Yes, it's a long title for a package but in the ads it's 'Dj 4 kids' or 'karaoke dj 4 kids. The longer version above is used for here on social media or in the invoice and contract.

The kids were so busy switching from bungee to singing, to photos and back to dancing that the parents were ignored by their own kids. I've never seen so many parents relaxed; regardless of how many tequila shots my client made them do.

It's the beginning of June in 2024 and a husband and wife are celebrating their birthday together. The package they selected is our NEW "Living Room Karaoke Dj Package". What is that? Well basically you clear the entire living/family room; and I mean clear everything out of the way as if a 'Mosh Pit' is going to happen.

You can't see it here in the pictures but about 100 guests are outside enjoying cooler air, cocktails and food but the music is inside; This helps as to respect the neighbors. However, this couple invited all the neighbors; go figure.

The Karaoke dj package is the same, as far as equipment, except for the 3 hour package of $1,445 vs. 2 hours for $750. The catch is availability. This client called on a Monday morning and we happened to be available for the coming up Saturday. We offer the 2 hour package only in the last 7 days of the date you want.

Also, most parties held at a private residence are dependent of the'5-day forecast. Unlike a rented venue, a desired party can be upended by weather especially when clients want their backyard part of the 'ambience'.

The 'Living Room Karaoke' is a 50% off type of coupon with limited availability. As a professional, we absolutely wanted the 2 hours to be so good that it goes into over time. This party extended a total of 90 minutes @$250 pr/hr . ;-)
