Merry Christmas! Hope you’ve had a wonderful time celebrating with your friends and family. We’ve been under the weather but have made the most of our time together with lots of movies and take out. Many thanks to my parents for dropping off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals. They definitely show their love through food!

I am a pretty affectionate person. I love hugs and I usually greet people with a kiss on the cheek. I miss seeing people and hugging them. But in the meanwhile, you’re all in my heart and prayers. And I’ll give my kids and husby all the hugs and kisses for all of you. I hope you’re all doing well and socially distancing. Let’s get through this together and then we can party and hug all we want. In the meanwhile, drink wine, coffee and make the most of what we’ve got. Let’s support the small businesses and be kind to one another. See you all on the other side!

I gotta say, I love this impromptu portrait by the awesome at the networking event tonight. I’ve been going to more networking events the last couple of years and I love the attitude and values that vendors have in these groups that I’ve joined. I’ve met so many great new friends and have had the honor to work with some of them. Hope to continue collaborating with you all!

I was helping a client shop for wedding gowns and it made me totally nostalgic about my wedding dress shopping experience. When I got married in 2007, the biggest trend was the ballgown style gowns with pickups, so naturally I wanted one of a similar style. I brought my very opinionated aunts whose opinions I highly respect and showed them my first choice dress. The first thing Auntie Elaine says is, “It looks like a comforter.” I was totally heartbroken, but fortunately, within the same shopping trip, I fell in love with the gown I ultimately purchased with incredibly detailed beadwork. I’m a super detailed person so it actually makes sense that I’d appreciate a gown like this one. I still admire all the beading whenever I see it in the depths of my closet. If I could still fit in it, I’d totally wear it more often... at least around the house. 🤣 Feel free to swipe to see what my gown might have been. I still think it’s pretty, but I’m glad my aunt steered me toward the gown that was truly meant for me. Tip of the day: trust your tribe who knows you to be a good mirror.

Hello springtime! My mother loves lavender and every time I find an awesome candle, I get her a lavender one. Last time was a soy candle made by from recycled wine bottles from and the fragrance was so lovely! I kept a sweet peach scented one for myself and I just might have to order more.

This lovely springtime centerpiece was brought to you by with the fresh lavender handcut by family friends of the bride. I loved the rustic romance of this whole look and the perfect embodiment of the promise of spring and new beginnings.
