Farm tasks continue this weekend.

The cool, overcast morning made the perfect opportunity to tuck in the next succession of some of my favorite zinnias: Ballerina, Oklahoma Pink, and Giant Lime.

And can we take a moment for Giant Lime? It somehow manages to complement every single color palette we grow. Soft pastels, bright summer tones, moody autumn shades—it plays nicely with all of them. You really can’t lose with that one.

Every bouquet starts with moments like these: tiny plants carefully tucked into the ground months before they ever make it into a vase.

If you missed our spring subscription and have been wishing you hadn’t, good news—we still have just TWO spots remaining in our Summer Bouquet Subscription.

Flower Farm Update 🌱

It’s hard to believe, but one of the tasks I checked off the to-do list today was starting more seeds. Around here, we’ll continue sowing successions right through mid-July to keep the flower patch producing beautiful blooms all season long.

This morning I also fertilized our anemone and ranunculus patch—both are putting on quite a show right now.

If you’re heading to the Rockford City Market tomorrow, you’ll find fresh anemones, ranunculus, and yes… the much-coveted peonies at our booth. 🌸

Every week brings something new into bloom, and it’s one of my favorite parts of the season.

See you at the market! 💐Rockford City Market

My toxic trait is thinking I can fix my mood by wandering around the flower patch for 10 minutes… and honestly? It works. 😂🌿

Flower farmer Matt already knows if I suddenly disappear outside, I’m probably overstimulated and need to look at my flowers in silence for a minute.

Turns out “touch grass” was solid advice after all. Who relates?

We’ve been so busy around the flower farm lately. With this dry spell, making sure everything gets watered has definitely been priority number one.

Today I also planted out some of our ornamental grasses — the final little touches I absolutely love adding into bouquets and arrangements. They bring so much movement, texture, and that soft wild feeling that makes designs feel extra special.

The flower patch is really starting to come together now. 🌾✨

A good kind of tired over here tonight. 🌿

We got a lot done in the flower patch today — basil, phlox, and zinnias all tucked in, plus we squeezed a few extra dahlias into grow bags because apparently I can never say no to “just a few more flowers.”

The garden is filling in fast and starting to look more like summer every day. Now we just need a little sunshine, a little patience, and maybe a lot of coffee. ☕️🌸

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

As we spend the weekend with family, sunshine, backyard barbecues, and the people we love most — may we also pause to reflect on the sacrifice behind this holiday.

We are endlessly grateful to those who served and especially those who never made it home. ❤️🤍💙

Wishing you a meaningful and peaceful Memorial Day from all of us at Wildly Rooted Floral.

Our ranunculus just started blooming and I truly don’t think there’s a more romantic flower.

Meet Seine — layers upon layers of soft blush petals that almost look painted by hand. The color shifts with the light from creamy shell pink to the faintest rosy peach, and every stem feels like something straight out of a Paris flower market.

These are the blooms that make me stop in the middle of farm chores just to stare for a second. Delicate, dreamy, and somehow even prettier in real life.

Flower season is finally waking up over here and the patch is starting to feel magical again. 🌸

Today was a marathon on the flower farm. So many tiny plants tucked into the ground and somehow there’s still more waiting on tomorrow’s list. Flower farming this time of year is equal parts magic and exhaustion.

I’m ending the day tired, sore, and very grateful. Hope you all have a beautiful Memorial Day weekend filled with sunshine, rest, and maybe a few flowers on the table.

City Market day. Rockford City Market

Today we’ll have a limited number of peony bunches, anemone bud vases, and mason jar arrangements available at market. If you’ve had your eye on peonies, come early — they always go quickly.

The flower patch is changing by the day and more varieties continue to bloom each week as we move into the summer season.

Already feeling flower FOMO? Our Summer Bouquet Subscription is the best way to enjoy the best blooms of the season before they’re gone.
