WOW π³ what a WEEK π« long, INFORMATIVE post alert! π¨ Restaurant was open Tues & Wed, food truck for RAGBRAI on Thurs & Fri, and somehow we all pulled it together for another busy Sat night in the restaurant tonight!
To start off the week, a customer shared their very kind and positive review on Facebook and we feel like it went VIRAL (1k+ reactions, almost 100 shares, endless comments, all leading to almost 25k views...in 24 hours) π² the phone βοΈ HAS NOT STOPPED RINGING! We had already planned on (and posted) shutting the restaurant down Thurs & Fri in order to support RAGBRAI with our crew of 10-12 staff, because βοΈit's FUN & different andβοΈit happens once a year and was SO close to home this year! The viral post led to HUNDREDS of new followers, some not seeing our previous CLOSED post, and some just hearing through word-of-mouth to come dine with us! We even had several new guests tonight BECAUSE OF RAGBRAI visibility!
We are SO thankful and fortunate for the reviews you have all been sharing to keep our business BOOMING and we sincerely apologize to folks that tried to walk in when we were closed this week βΉοΈ we also want to remind you that we have a total of 13 tables and allocate 90 min per reservation (or walk-in), and those spots fill FAST on Fri & Sat nights. Sometimes you might get lucky with a walk-in but best to CALL AHEAD! Trust us when we say we are booked until a certain time, we do NOT turn away folks just for fun. Tables may sit empty as they wait for the arrival of their reserved guests and we are all running around as quickly as we can to serve everyone in a timely manner and flip tables for the next guests.
Most of our staff is also coming in to serve you dinner after they already worked their day job, or maybe after a couple of long, HOT days serving 1000+ bikers on RAGBRAI...we are exhausted! So please just be patient and kind π we are trying our best to accommodate YOU!
In summary, we appreciate you ALL and are still enjoying this ride because of YOU! We love connecting with guests, getting to know repeats, and blowing the minds/taste buds of newcomers π feel free to call/text or message through Facebook at ANYTIME to check on availability: Tues/Wed evenings are slower with reservations so walk-ins are much easier, Thursdays can be hit/miss with busy times but Fri & Sat evenings fill QUICKLY.
