Back from Bermuda and heading straight to trivia. 🌴➡️🍻🧠

I’m rolling back into town today, but trivia at The 1905 Tavern is still happening at 7pm tonight.

Pete Nottrebek will be holding it down as host,
and I’ll be there to play — so if you’ve ever wanted a shot at beating Alex Nottrebek while he’s still running on cruise energy and rum punch memories, tonight’s your chance.

Last year, I booked a Bermuda cruise and somehow ended up in Canada because a hurricane chose violence.

This year? The cruise gods finally got their s**t together.

So after one failed attempt, one weather-related betrayal, and an unnecessary Canadian side quest… your boy finally made it to Bermuda.

Rum punch is within reach.
Pink houses are real.
The ocean understood the assignment.

Bermuda: Take #2 🌴🚢⚡

Last year, Bermuda looked at my cruise itinerary, saw a hurricane, and said, “Nah, this guy gets Canada.”

Canada.
On a Bermuda cruise.

That’s not a detour — that’s maritime emotional damage.

But this year? I’m back on the Independence of the Seas, standing on deck like a low-budget sea captain with better beard maintenance, ready to finally make it to Bermuda.

The storm clouds tried.
The ocean threatened nonsense.
The travel gods shuffled the deck.
But Alex Nottrebek has returned.

Bermuda, I swear to Natty Light and cruise buffet shrimp, I am coming for you. 🌊🍻

TONIGHT’S FINAL STANDINGS ARE IN… and apparently so is the lore.

Congrats to Penelope & Parker for taking the win with 64 points and surviving what can only be described as absolute end-stage trivia warfare.

Because while the scores were being finalized, someone turned the back of a trivia card into a full-blown historical document featuring:

The Wall in the North
Malfunctions
Backup hatch opens
A dragon
Killer bees
Bee smoke
and whatever the hell else was happening in that fever dream of a battle map

So yes, we had: 1st place on the screen
and the unofficial mythology of the night on the back of the answer card.

This is why I love trivia.

One minute you’re debating answers. The next minute you’re documenting a bee-driven dragon conflict like it’s sacred text.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made tonight the perfect mix of competition, confusion, and unhinged artistic expression.

Alright, you beautiful weirdos — Tonight, trivia is back at 1905 Tavern at 7PM, and this week’s categories are an absolute mess in the best possible way:

🏃‍♂️🎶 Running Music

So basically, we’re going from gay icons… to dads… to Spaceballs nonsense… to college... to songs people listen to while pretending they enjoy cardio.

Makes perfect sense. No further questions.

Come out, grab a drink, and watch your team go from “we got this” to “how the hell did we not know that?” in under 12 minutes.

Alex Nottrebek Trivia goes where the Schwartz is strong, the answers are questionable, and somebody is absolutely going to yell the wrong movie title with full confidence.

Expect laughs, groans, deep cuts, dumb brilliance, and the kind of trivia night where “close enough” still gets you zero points but creativity counts!
