🍜 An the Go is an extension of the famous 54-year-old San Francisco restaurant, Thanh Long. The family has hit the road in a food truck while keeping their signature dish of garlic noodles on the menu.

🍢 You can pair the noodles in a combo which includes two skewers and an appetizer — we recommend going for the yuzu shrimp and five-spice pork. They also offer small bites like crab puffs and crispy rolls. If you need a jolt of energy to fight off the food coma after slurping a bunch of allium-coated carbs, try their Vietnamese coffee ☕

🐟 Their can’t miss item is the Peruvian ceviche made with a fresh catch of the day, rocoto leche de tigre, sweet potato, and corn (limited availability each day). For a classic Peruvian dish, try the lomo saltado — wok-fried meat tossed with onions, tomatoes, scallions, and soy sauce served with rice and french fries 🍟

🌯Our favorite dish is the lomorrito, a burrito stuffed with rice, beans, pico de gallo, fries, fried egg, and plantains. Even the drinks at Lomo Libre are Peruvian — don’t miss out on the Peruvian cola, purple corn juice, or passion fruit juice 🇵🇪

is a California-Korean fusion food truck with a menu as eye-catching as their food truck wrapped in a colorful swirl. 🌀 The star of the show is their selection of burritos including bulgogi beef, sauteed kimchi, sweet & spicy tofu, and fried chicken. They’re all filled with rice, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce.

🍛 If you’re looking for a light lunch, we recommend their rice bowls topped with seasonal veggies, pickled radish, fried egg, and katsu sauce. On the other hand, if you want to go all in, order the Bobcha tots loaded with bulgogi beef, cheese, green onion, pico de gallo, and four types of sauces.

🚨Don’t sleep on their katsu, especially the cheese katsu with a crispy exterior and oozy filling.

🧑🏽‍🍳Bini Pradhan comes from a family of professional cooks — her mother was a cook for the Nepalese royal family. She followed in her mother’s footsteps by attending culinary school in Bombay and working in hotel kitchens.

🥟In 2012, she decided to share Nepalese cuisine in the Bay Area. The star of her menu are the momos — dumplings filled with lamb, chicken, or a mixture of tofu, carrots, and cabbage. They’re all served with a signature tangy roasted tomato and cilantro sauce.

💖There’s more than just dumplings on the menu though — you’ll find a selection of stews as well as meat and vegetable entrees. Don’t miss the Gurkha chicken (chicken stewed in yogurt, tomatoes, and Bini’s house spice blend). We also love the palungo paneer made with homemade paneer cheese, sauteed spinach, red chiles, garlic, and spices. Enjoy your meal with a side of Nepali roti or Jeera rice — yellow basmati seasoned with bay leaf, cumin, turmeric, and cinnamon.

👀 You can’t miss the eye-catching wrapped in art that’s a cross between American pin up and Soviet-style posters.

🚚 The food truck is owned and operated by Kirill Deninzon and Igor Teplitsky. You’ll find pirozhki (Eastern European buns) filled with barbecue pulled pork or chicken. 🍄 If you’re looking for a meat-free option, go for the pirozhki stuffed with potatoes and mushrooms or the one filled with apples for a sweeter variety. For a unique soup, check out their bright red Borsch soup made from beet and cabbage and served with a dollop of sour cream.

🌯They also offer fusion dishes like burritos filled with buckwheat, roast potatoes, arugula, pickled relish, tomato relish, and sriracha aioli. Wash it all down with a bottle of kvas, a fermented, cereal-based drink.

💖 Some of our favorite empanadas in the Bay Area are from . 🇦🇷Their Argentinian empanadas are made with fresh flour-based dough and folded and crimped by hand.

🧅 You can find them filled with a traditional mixture of hand-cut beef, onion, and pepper found in the Tucuman province. Our favorite is filled with champiñones, shallot, creme fraiche, provolone, and chives.

👩🏼‍🍳El Sur was started in 2012 by Marianne Despres to share the empanadas she grew up eating with her family. The business started from a 1970 Citroen H-van and expanded to a storefront in Redwood City. Now, you can stop by their brick-and-mortar or order catering.

👋🏽 This is from Off the Grid. I’m heartbroken to share that my dear friend, Curtis Kimball—The Crème Brûlée Guy—passed away this week at just 46.

Curtis and I met a year before Off the Grid even existed, and he was one of the first to believe in OTG, showing up at our very first event at Fort Mason Center and shaping what we’ve built ever since.

His humor, wit, and generosity became a lasting part of OTG. But beyond his impact on the food world, Curtis was a devoted husband and father - soon to have been a father of three.

His presence was unforgettable, not just for those who knew him personally, but for the entire Bay Area food community. I hope that by sharing his story here more people can understand his incredible influence and legacy. ♥️🕊️🙏🏽

Our Story

Bay Area icon Off the Grid: Fort Mason Center returns for its 8th season on Friday, March 2, coming alive every Friday night through October 26 from 5pm – 10pm. Sample diverse street food from a rotating lineup of 30+ of the Bay Area’s best mobile food creators, inventive menu items from Off the Grid’s culinary development program, Instrucktional, as well as craft cocktails, beer and wine while enjoying guest DJ sets, live entertainment, weekly themed programming and a streamlined event layout that includes communal lounge areas and a central beer garden — all set against the backdrop of San Francisco’s historic Fort Mason Center.

This year, we’re excited to debut our new VIP Tasting Ticket, which grants ticket holders access to a line-free window at a rotating selection of trucks and tents offering specialty bites curated by Off the Grid Catering. Tasting Tickets can be purchased in advance at squareup.com/store/otg-tasting-ticket, or in-person at the Information Booth ($25 for 4 tastes).
