Interested in finding out what it really costs to learn partner dancing? ...It's not just about the price tag.

Private lessons typically run $75–$150/per hour (depending on your city) Some studios teach hour long lessons, but most teach for 45 min. Group classes run $15–$50/class.

However, the sticker price only tells half the story as far as what learning costs. Timing is also very important. Lessons spaced too far apart mean re-learning what you forgot last time, so a cheaper lesson taken inconsistently can cost more in the end. Frequent, focused lessons often get you to your goal in fewer total sessions.

The real question isn't "what does a lesson cost?" It's "what's the most efficient path to where I want to be?"

What's the best partner dance for beginners?
There isn't just one.
The best first dance to learn isn't the "easiest" one, but rather, it's the one you'll actually use. Ask yourself: What music do you love? Where will you dance — weddings, socials, your own kitchen? Are you learning as a couple or dancing solo with many partners?
Rumba and Foxtrot are great, versatile starting points. Merengue is fast & easy for leaders to pick up on the fly. Dances like West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango are beautiful but ask beginners to juggle quite a bit more at once.
There's no universal "best" beginner dance- just the one that fits your goals and gets you on the floor.

If you're coming to your dance lessons with us in Pacific Beach, rest assured, parking will be very easy. We know that parking can be challenging and expensive in the beach areas of San Diego, so our parking is free and abundant!

Our main lot is to the left side of the building, and it also runs behind the entire length of the building. If you do decide to park on the street, the parking there is free as well.

We are located just inside the front door of the building on the left-hand side. (If you go more than 3 feet inside the double doors, you've missed us : )

Lifts and dips for engagement photos are one of our favorite things to teach. Make that engagement photo session on the beach or at Balboa Park easy and polished. Our skilled instructors can create moves that feel personal to you and help you do them comfortably.

You can even bring us examples of the lifts, dips or dance moves that you found online and want to re-create.

San Diego has so many beautiful engagement photo backdrops that you can really make the most of with a little bit of practice.

One of the things I really enjoy about teaching wedding couples is getting to see photos and video of them from their wedding day. Friends and family cheering them on while they dance, and the smiles on their faces as they get on the dance floor.

I love knowing that something that could have been stressful for them was made comfortable and enjoyable through their lessons with us. This photo is an old one, but a good one. I can tell they're chatting and having a good time and loving the experience.
