One of the things I really enjoy about teaching wedding couples is getting to see photos and video of them from their wedding day. Friends and family cheering them on while they dance, and the smiles on their faces as they get on the dance floor.

I love knowing that something that could have been stressful for them was made comfortable and enjoyable through their lessons with us. This photo is an old one, but a good one. I can tell they're chatting and having a good time and loving the experience.

Meet our long-time dance instructor, Dan!

Dan started dancing in San Jose CA at age 15 as a way for his parents to keep him out of trouble. After a few months he began competing, and was so successful that the hobby grew into a lifestyle.

At 19 Dan moved to London, England for the opportunity to study with some of the world's top competitive dancers. 8 months into his training in London, he was offered a job teaching Ballroom and Latin dance in San Diego and jumped at the chance to come home to California.

Dan specializes in the Standard ballroom dance styles as well as the International Latin dances. He enjoys teaching competitive as well as social students, and has a flair for developing unique lifts and theater arts inspired showdance choreography.

Dan has been part of many shows and competitions over the years. One of his proudest moments was when he and his professional partner become the 2010 California 'Open to the World' Professional Showdance Champions for their partner dance interpretation of John Lennon's "Imagine".

Almost three decades later Dan is still as passionate about teaching and dancing in San Diego, and he likes to spend some part of everyday in the dance studio.
