When The Glasshouse at River Oaks opened, being the florist for a wedding at this beautiful venue immediately became a bucket-list item for us.✨

So when Volanae reached out about her August wedding at the Glass House, we had to say yes! What started as a request for a few bouquets turned into a full wedding of flowers—personal flowers, caterpillar table centerpieces, bud vases, and the whole shebang. And honestly, we couldn’t have been more thrilled to be a part of it. 🤍

I’ve always believed honesty is the best policy, so here’s a little bit of that…🤍

It feels like it’s been a minute since we’ve really shown up on here. You may have noticed we haven’t been posting nearly as much as we used to, and honestly… we’re trying to figure out if social media is still worth the time… hear me out!

Life has been a LOT lately. We finished building our house and moved in, celebrated our girl turning three, walked through some really hard family news, survived the flu, and are currently somewhere between a sleep regression and potty training. 😂😴🫠

And through all of it, I’ve been thinking a lot about the future of Poppy + Co.

Do we need a huge social media presence?
How many weddings do we actually want to take on next year?
Do we grow the team?
What do we want this business to look like moving forward?

And I’m not asking these questions because business is struggling. Quite the opposite.

We are BUSY. The last two weeks were completely sold out, and this week we finally have a Saturday off for the first time since MARCH. I KNOW. 😂

Business is good. Really good. And I am so, so thankful.🤍

But I’m also a mama. And right now, there are things in my life that matter more than making sure I posted a story that day. Especially if no one sees that story or really cares.🤷‍♀️

So, here’s where I need you…

Do you miss seeing us on here? The daily stories, behind-the-scenes, sneak peeks, silly things, personal things… all of it?

If you do, tell us! We’ll make more time for it!
But if you don’t, tell us that too!

Because I’d rather spend our time doing the things that actually matter to you—and to this little shop.🌸🫶

Hello, August…. This month feels extra special around here🫶✨

My little girl—the tiny heart behind Poppy + Co—turns three this month. Somehow the month that’s all about celebrating her is also one of our busiest yet.🫶

We’re prepping for 10 weddings and 7 shop rentals on the calendar, and we know there will be LOTS of everyday moments in between! Birthday bouquets, anniversary flowers, sympathy arrangements, “thinking of you” stems, and all the little reasons people walk through our doors.🫶

It’s going to be a beautiful, full month, and we couldn’t be more grateful that you’ve chosen us to be part of so many of life’s biggest and smallest moments.🌸🫶

Since August is our last month of summer, we’re thinking we should celebrate it the Poppy + Co way. 🌼 What would you say to one last end-of-summer bash at the shop before school starts? We have a few fun ideas... 👀 But we want to hear from you! Drop your ideas in the comments! 💬

We’re sold out. 🤍

The phone hasn’t stopped ringing all week, our cooler is empty, and we’re honestly just feeling incredibly grateful.

Every order that came through our doors this week mattered to us. Whether it was a bouquet for a birthday, flowers to celebrate, flowers to comfort, or “just because”... thank you for choosing us.

Getting to be a small part of life’s biggest moments is something we never take for granted. The fact that so many of you continue to trust us with those moments means more than we could ever put into words.

Thank you for an amazing week. We’ll spend the weekend creating for our wedding couples, then we’ll be back next week, rested, restocked, and so excited to see you all again. 🤍

We’ve been told that being a custom florist doesn’t make sense.

And honestly... we agree.

It would be much easier to offer a catalog of arrangements, order the same flowers every week, train our team to make the same designs, and send them out the door. It’s faster. It’s more efficient. From a business standpoint, it makes perfect sense.

But that’s never been who we are.

The last two weeks have been some of the busiest we’ve ever had. Orders have poured in from all over the country, all being delivered here in St. Marys and the surrounding communities.

And almost every single one came with a story.

“She was a lifelong Steelers fan.”
“Can you include a keepsake the family can treasure?”
“They just welcomed a baby boy—we want something huge.”
“It’s been a really hard year. Make it colorful enough to make her smile.”
“She absolutely loves wildflowers.”

No two requests were the same.

And that’s exactly why we’ll never be a catalog florist.
Because flowers aren’t just flowers. They’re how we celebrate, comfort, congratulate, remember, apologize, and say “I’m thinking of you” when words don’t feel like enough.

Every person is different. We believe the flowers they receive should reflect that.

So no, custom design isn’t the easiest way to run a flower shop. It isn’t the fastest, and it certainly isn’t the most efficient.

But is it worth it?
Every single time.

When a bride takes time out of her wedding morning to come find you, give you a hug, and thank you for the flowers... boy that just gets us🥹🤍

Sophie had such a clear vision: wildflowers that still felt timeless and elegant. With dusty blues, crisp whites, a hint of yellow, lots of texture and plenty of eucalyptus, I think we brought it to life beautifully.🫶
