Ceramic and Glass Dinnerware vs. Plastic Dinnerware which one is right for your event?
It really depends on a few things:
- Budget - ceramic and glass will be a little bit more expensive but it brings a more elegant look to your event. Plastic dinnerware can be elevated to work for your event needs with dinner napkins, chargers, etc.
- Guests - are there going to be a lot of children at your event? If so, probably best to stick with plastic dinnerware for safety purposes.
- Type of Event - is your event going to be inside or outside? Classy or Casual? Full meal or just hors d’Oeuvres? All these things can affect your dinnerware choice.
- Catering Style - Whether you have a seated meal or buffet style you can still use ceramic and glass or plastic dinnerware but for buffet style if you use ceramic or glass especially make sure to think about the flow of where people will be walking with their plates and things to minimize the risk of bumps, drops, and falls.
