Welcome New Head Chef to the NC Art Museum Café!
Chef Matt’s love for food began around the table with his large Italian New York family, where Sunday dinners became cherished traditions. In fact, one of the current café’s menu items, the Cantaloupe Carpaccio, is directly inspired by a dish shared during those family gatherings.
After attending culinary school in New York and refining his craft in some of the city’s elite restaurants, Chef Matt moved to Miami to continue his career at one of the area’s most prestigious dining destinations. In 2009, he and his wife relocated to the Raleigh area, where they quickly fell in love with the community and chose to put down roots while raising their daughter and son.
