Job Title: Preschool Teacher at A Simple Wish Princess Preschool
Job Description:
A Simple Wish Princess Preschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. Our preschool's mission is to crown each princess with the grace, imagination, and self-confidence she needs to write her very own happy ever after. With over 15 years of experience, we have been nurturing and educating Puyallup's next generation of students using an innovative approach that leverages creative arts and theatre to establish a strong foundation of confidence in learning.
As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for our young princesses to develop socially, intellectually, and emotionally. You will be responsible for implementing our curriculum, fostering proper behavior and etiquette, and ensuring a clean and organized classroom. Additionally, you will collaborate with our program director to develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that cater to the interests and learning styles of our students.
Typical Hrs: Tuesday - Friday 9am-4pm
Pay scale: $18h-$22 an hr
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Encourage proper behavior, manners, and etiquette among the preschoolers
● Provide a variety of tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
● Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of the children
● Develop and maintain positive relationships with both children and parents
● Manage classroom activities, including lessons, playtime, breaks, and meals
● Create a positive environment that promotes confidence and growth, both intellectually and emotionally
● Track children's progress and maintain concise reporting for parents and guardians
● Assist children in reaching their developmental milestones
● Collaborate with the program director to implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
● Encourage children to interact with one another to develop their social skills
● Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
● Maintain an inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
● Facilitate various activities for children, including songs, games, and storytelling
● Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
Preferred Qualifications:
● 2-4 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting
● ECE (Early Childhood Education) accreditation and STARS (State Training and Registry System) training
● Strongly preferred: Background or experience in musical theatre
