Demi baguettes are back on our freezer inventory! As with all bread they're best fresh out of the oven. To make this work with our model we freeze them right after baking. To revive the crunchy crust and fluffy interior just pop the still frozen baguette into a 375 degree oven for five to 7 minutes and enjoy.

This time of year the farm to table model comes easily. Every week we have long lists of fresh exciting fruits and veggies from our farmers to build the menu around.
During harvest season we set aside time to fill our freezer with berries, rhubarb, roasted tomatillos, charred poblanos, and more. All that processing provides a taste of summer in January when it's cabbage, potatoes, and squash on repeat.

The plums in my yard are beautiful this year (thank you St. Lawrence Nurseries!) They'll be featured in Steve's plum almond torte this week and I just put some plum jam in the freezer. Alice and Rocco gave the sample batch I made a thumbs up!
