Music enthusiasts and community members alike are invited to join in a vibrant celebration of arts and action at the Raquette River Session

Featuring performances by three dynamic bands, each delivering a captivating one-hour set, attendees can expect an eclectic mix of genres sure to delight audiences of all tastes. We’re so grateful you came out to celebrate music, art, and community with us along the river! Whether you stayed for one set or the whole evening, thank you for bringing your energy, your applause, and your love for live music.

We’re excited to announce the Canton Apples Cider Garden at this year’s Raquette River Sessions!

Join us Friday, August 8th at the Ives Park Gazebo in Potsdam, NY, from 4–8 PM, and enjoy refreshing pours of handcrafted hard cider made in small batches from heirloom apple varieties — served up riverside!

Not drinking? No worries — non-alcoholic options will also be available so everyone can raise a glass and enjoy the evening.

🎶🔥 The Raquette River Sessions are almost here! 🔥🎶

Join us Friday, August 8th, from 4–8 PM at the Ives Park Gazebo in Potsdam, NY for an evening of free live music, local vendors, cold cider, food trucks, and family fun by the river. Bring a blanket, grab a bite, and settle in for a night of incredible music under the open sky.

Here’s the lineup:

🕓 4:00 PM – Stephanie Fansler
Soulful, introspective songs from a powerful local singer-songwriter to kick off the night.

🕠 5:30 PM – Boyden Brook Band
Psychedelic Americana sounds woven with rich harmonies and electric energy from this North Country crew.

🎸 Headliner Announcement: Ursa and the Major Key🎸

We’re thrilled to announce that Ursa and the Major Key will be headlining this year’s event!

Ursa and the Major Key is an indie/psychedelic rock band from Plattsburgh, NY. The band fuses influences from classic artists including The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and The Band, as well as modern artists like Whitney, Beach Fossils, and Levitation Room.

They have built up an extensive show history in the Adirondacks and beyond over the past couple of years, performing in regional staple venues such as the Strand Center for the Arts, the Waterhole, Songs at Mirror Lake, and the Upper Jay Art Center, as well as sharing the stage with acts like Midnight North, The Stevenson Ranch Davidians, The Burkharts, Klark Sound, Sam Greenfield, and Sugaray Rayford. They also recently performed for an estimated 5,000 attendees at the City of Plattsburgh's total solar eclipse viewing party, which led to the band being featured in The New York Times.

We’re so excited to welcome back Val of Birdsong Dyes to the Raquette River Sessions 2025!

Val creates stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces using the magical process of ice dyeing, transforming everyday garments into vibrant, wearable works of art. Each piece is made with care, intention, and creativity—true to Birdsong Dyes’ motto:
“Ice dyed wearable art created with love and wonder.”
