🛸A NEW SESSION IS UPON US🛸

Does the thought of doing improv feel out of this world? It doesn’t have to be!!!

Our classes are designed to teach you the ins-and-outs of longform improv in a safe and supportive environment.

This class represents the core of our 4-Level curriculum and teaches improvised scene work through a lens of patience, base reality and truth.

Come learn something new, or hone your skills with us!
Another 8 weeks of our Level 1: Scenework class starts next week:
Sundays starting May 31 (no class July 5 or 28)
6-8pm at the Portland Media Center

We are SO excited to welcome guest instructor and improviser Ross Flores! hails from St. Paul, MN and will be joining us for a double-header THIS Thursday! (Thursday 5/28)

6:00 - 8:00pm Moving in Space (2hr workshop) $25 registration fee

8:30 - 9:00pm Ross Flores Presents: The Manny Rodriguez show (an improvised late night show where the host did NOT show up)

We are so excited to announce registrations are now LIVE for round two of MIST’s House Team auditions taking place Saturday, May 16, 12-3pm (callbacks are Monday, May 18, 6-8pm) at the Portland Media Center. Register using the link in bio!!!

PLEASE NOTE: Longform improv experience is REQUIRED to register. If you have not taken any classes within the MIST curriculum, please email daniel@maineimprovstudio to confirm your availability.

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming workshop led by !
Character Parade takes a unique approach to generating memorable characters and challenges you to share every aspect of your improv scene with your fellow performer. Playing multiple characters in a scene is ambitious and exhilarating. We’ll introduce you to new ways to create distinct characters & relationships and show you the joy of ghosting and sharing those choices with your fellow performers as you create vibrant energetic worlds and the weirdos that inhabit them.

Monday 4/6 from 6:00-8:00pm

Ever wanted to see Moon Laywer and Big Shirt rock the night away at Blue? THEN THURSDAY 4/2 IS THE NIGHT FOR YOU!!!
Our next Night of Longform improv will be at Blue featuring these two lovely teams.
But that’s not all!
There will be a STUDENT JAM to follow!
