We possess over 30 years of experience and knowledge, having successfully owned and operated our very own fine dining restaurant known as Michel’s. Michel’s Maine Made knows best that doing one thing better than anyone else is a recipe for success. Our product has often been imitated but never duplicated. Since 1981, we have used only the absolute best in quality ingredients locally and from around the world for our homemade and time tested recipes, especially our famous Poppy Seed Dressing.

Because of Michel’s Maine Poppy Seed Dressing alone, The TreeHouse Café, located at 2043 S. University Boulevard in Denver, CO from 1998-2008, proudly enjoyed the title of “Best Sandwiches in the City of Denver” 5 years in row with our Poopy Deal Focaccia sandwich always being the best seller and deciding factor with food critics throughout the Metro Denver area.
In 2008, Michel’s Maine Made Poppy Seed Dressing was once again putting The TreeHouse Café on the map, but this time locally in Gorham, Maine. That year, we were recognized as the best eatery in the region by several news sources, and we’re awarded “The Golden Spoon Award” in the 1st Annual Gorham Taste Walk. We we’re to submit one item from our menu for judging and chose our Poppy Chicken Sandwich. The TreeHouse Cafe menu included another one of our famous homemade dressings, Michel’s Maine Made Bleu Cheese. This dressing was featured on our “Dante’s Inferno” focaccia sandwich, our top selling item daily for two years.
In 2010, as Sous Chef at Appaloosa Grill, 16th Street Mall in Denver, CO., Michel Salvaggio Jr. created two specialty seasonal salads called the “Spring Poppy Salad” and “Winter Poppy Salad” and added them to the menu. It was a another amazing example of success with Michel’s Maine Made Poppy Seed Dressing with our specialty salads ultimately becoming the number one ordered item, overtaking Appaloosa’s famous Fish ‘n’ Chips dish.
Appaloosa is an extremely popular restaurant in downtown Denver that averages $10,000-$15,000 in sales a day, with more than 3 million dollars in sales each year.
