Southern Thunder Fireworks come see us We are Larry and Tricia (Abbott) Brown, we are the new owners of Southern Thunder Fireworks, which has been in Larry's family for over 47 years.

Jim Sliger and Larry Brown (Larry's Dad) started in the fireworks business in Dunkirk, Indiana in 1977 on North Street. Over the years the business has had several different names, but for the past 30 years it has been Southern Thunder Fireworks. Formerly, owned and operated by Jim and Kathy Sliger. We will remain at the same location, 227 W. Water St., Portland, Indiana. In 2023, Jim passed away

leaving us to keep the family tradition alive. We look forward to serving you with all of your fireworks needs, small or large. We take great pride in offering our community the largest selection and the best deals on fireworks. We also look forward to serving our community by providing special events and sponsorships.

We had a GREAT time at the WoW Super Raffle win on the Wabash. We are glad to be a sponsor again this year.
Tricia Abbott Brown won a nice prize.
Kevin Delph won a good prize also.
I won $200 on rat roulette, but spent it all and more for the youth of Fort Recovery athletics.
Can't wait until next year.

Thank you to Matt's Garage for teaming up with us to make our best parade float yet! They so graciously allowed us to use the truck/trailer and indoor bay to build the float! We couldn’t have done it without your help! Teaming up with friends and a local business made for an amazing day!!! Our families and businesses came together and made memories that will last a lifetime!

As another amazing fireworks season comes to a close, we want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

This year was one we’ll never forget. We had the privilege of meeting so many new friends while welcoming back so many familiar faces who continue to support Southern Thunder Fireworks year after year. Your loyalty and friendship mean more to us than words can express.

We poured our hearts into making this season special—from Customer Appreciation Day, to building and participating in our America 250 parade float, to helping each and every customer find the perfect fireworks to celebrate their special moments. Seeing all the smiles, laughter, and excitement made every long day worthwhile.

A huge congratulations to our annual bike giveaway winners, Kenna and Cami! We hope you enjoy your new bikes and make lots of great memories with them! 🚲🎉
