Bar Carlo serves a playfully inventive take on Mexican-American brunch in Southeast Portland inspired by my heritage, memories of relaxed, family meals & the vibrant, anything goes spirit of the border. Proudly serving Portland since 2007, we’ve been Foster-Powell’s favorite neighborhood cafe for nearly a decade! At Bar Carlo, we make almost everything in-house with care, and we’re certain you’ll be able to taste the difference. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, our menu features Mexican American cuisine with vegetarian flair. We also offer vegan and gluten-free options! Meat lovers have no fear - our burgers are top-notch, too. Try our delicious Bleu+bals burger, made with balsamic grilled onion, bleu cheese, and horseradish aioli on fresh ciabatta. Join us for weekend brunch and choose from Eggs Benedict, Signature Scrambles, Hashes, and more! Top it all off with a house-made Bloody Mary for the ultimate brunch experience. I have been here twice now. I had a brunch last week that was delicious and last night I attended a wedding reception/ private event. The owner is hands-on and provided an awesome venue . The two bartenders were great- fast and friendly. Highly recommend this place!
